How to save America
Henry Lamb

The United States is on the brink of signing a new climate change treaty that many people believe will be the mechanism that ushers in global governance. Global governance has been under construction for many years. Every new treaty in which the United States participates requires the surrender of a little more sovereignty. International treaties have influenced domestic policy throughout the 20th century, forcing the federal government to impose restrictions on individual freedom which are not authorized in the enumerated powers set forth in the U.S. Constitution

America on the Children's Crusade: Think They're Attacking you Because They Really Want to Make a Deal?
Barry Rubin

A friend of mine who used to be a high-ranking U.S. government official made a very interesting remark: Intelligence does not settle disputes in government, theories do. In other words, no matter how badly an enemy acts, you can interpret it as their building up bargaining chips to make a deal. They are hitting you to force you to offer them a good bargain.

The feminists are going through one of their periodic soul-searching psychological examinations of what the women's liberation movement did or did not do for them, and why they are not happy with the result. Feminist dominance in newspapers, magazines, book publishers, television and academia makes it easy to command a full media rollout for their agonizing.

Will Fox News Drop Newt Gingrich?
Cliff Kincaid

On the occasion of its 13th anniversary and dramatic success in the television ratings, Fox News is coming under serious scrutiny. But there is no reason why this scrutiny should come exclusively from those on the left who are jealous of the cable channel's success. Conservatives should not hesitate to offer their own critique of the popular news network.

Meeting Shariah with Christ
Chuck Missler

Women in Afghanistan have plenty to grieve about. Things have not improved substantially since the Taliban was ousted. Words were offered, both spoken and written, promising greater rights and better treatment of women, but those have deteriorated to the basic, "you have a right to stay home and obey your husband." Men are free to rape and beat their female relatives, and women who try to escape are hunted down like slaves. While these things are horrible, we are not shocked to hear about them in Afghanistan. The fact that women are being raped and beaten and murdered in the name of Islam in America though … that puts the issue more directly in front of our faces.

What a Sovereign God Cannot Do
0

One of the most common expressions one hears in Christian circles, especially for reassurance when things aren't going well, is that "God is in control, He's still on the throne." Christians comfort themselves with these words - but what do they mean? Was God not "in control" when Satan rebelled and when Adam and Eve disobeyed, but now He is? Does God's being in control mean that all the rape, murder, war and multiplied evil is exactly what He planned and desires?

Frankenstein: These days, genetic engineering has become child's play. At least, the dicing and splicing of genes is no longer confined to the labs of silver-haired geneticists. Halloween weekend, 103 teams of college kids will gather to show off their genetically modified creations at the International Genetically Engineered Machine competition. The annual contest encourages students to mix and match genetic parts in order to program spectacular results from run-of-the-mill organisms.

On October 19th, I wrote a weblog entry entitled, "Turkey Turns On Israel." That dynamic is now accelerating. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan (pronounced "Erdo'-wan") is now in Tehran, embracing President Ahmadinejad, calling Iran's tyrannical regime a friend, endorsing Iran's nuclear program and international defiance, and continuing to denounce Israel.

Galloping Globalism
Jan Markell

I think that most of us who have wondered why America is not prominent in the Bible in the last days now have our answer. Of course America did not exist in Bible times for anyone to write about. But surely the most powerful nation ever would have some veiled reference to it in the Bible. The answer is that we have a president trying to make America equal to every banana republic in the world. Galloping globalism, in fact, has almost every world leader acknowledging that all nations must be equal and play on a level field. There can be no superpowers.

It is time to march in the streets, flood congress with faxes, emails, phone calls and scream very loud!!! It feels like a remake of War of the Worlds, the famous Science Fiction thriller where hideous aliens attacked earth. We are getting zapped all right but it is by President Obama and International aliens! Greed, fraud and lies are backing the Copenhagen Climate Treaty coming up this December. Obama is thrilled and planning to sign it. Just what does 'sign it' actually mean? Bye Bye to U.S. sovereignty and the authority of our Constitution. Hello to worldwide tax controlled by the Self-appointed Messiahs of this International Treaty.

Obama's Media Control Strategy
Cliff Kincaid

You may not have noticed that the Obama Administration, in addition to trying to seize control of the health care and energy sectors, is implementing a national "broadband plan" to redefine the media and transform America's system of government. It's designed, they say, to provide "open government and civic engagement." But it looks increasingly like an excuse for the federal government to control the Internet and access to information and even tell us what is truth.

An Honest Nuclear Deal with Iran? I Don't Buy It

The U.S. and other Western powers seem convinced Iran is making a major concession. Iran's leaders say they will agree to ship about 1.2 tons of enriched uranium to Russia and France to be reprocessed. It will then be sent back to Iran in a form that could be used as fuel for a reactor but couldn't be turned into nuclear weapons.

Environmental alarmism is being exploited to chip away at national sovereignty. The latest threat to American liberties may be found in the innocuous sounding Copenhagen Climate Treaty, which will be discussed at the United Nations climate-change conference in mid-December. The alert was sounded on the treaty in a talk given by British commentator Lord Christopher Monckton at Bethel College in St. Paul, Minn., on Oct. 14. Video of the talk has become an Internet sensation.

In recent columns, I have reported on both the attempted takeover of the Hardin, Montana, jail facility by a private mercenary force and a Chinese story that the White House would fly the Communist Chinese flag in honor of the 60th anniversary of Mao's revolution of 1949, which brought the Reds to power (initially killing as many as 3 million Chinese people, and resulting in the deaths of more than 50 million people during those 60 years).

ITEM: Compact fluorescent light bulbs, mandated to replace the century-old reliable incandescent bulb (at four times the cost) contain poisonous liquid mercury over 300 times the EPA's standard accepted safety level. In addition, days after a bulb has been broken, vacuuming or simply crawling across the carpeted floor where the bulb was broken can cause mercury vapor levels to shoot back upwards of 100 times the accepted level of safety.

OK, let's get it off our chest! We all know that as onlookers we rock back and forth between support for being in Iraq and Afghanistan. The truth is, since our draconian and leftist media has rarely told the public the truth about the inner workings, progress and needs of the war in Iraq or Afghanistan, most folks figure that Obama might be well within his rights and protocol to pull troops out of both regions, certainly not provide the 40,000 troops being requested by General McChrystal an General Petraeus. After all, isn't this just another Vietnam potentially as the leftist media and Obama would say?

Damaging Disclosures in Van Jones Scandal
Cliff Kincaid

The documents indicate that a resignation letter was written for Jones and issued in his name. When Van Jones resigned his White House job, under fire for his pro-communist views, White House adviser David Axelrod said that Jones had himself made the decision to leave the administration. But new documents indicate that Jones didn't even write his own resignation letter. It is now abundantly clear that he was pushed out because the scandal threatened to implicate Obama friend and White House adviser Valerie Jarrett in the scandal that gave him a critical White House position without proper vetting.
