Sean McDowell
- Author/Conference Speaker
- Sean McDowell graduated summa cum laude
from Talbot Theological School with two Master's degrees in
Theology and Philosophy & Ethics. He received the Charles
Feinberg award, the highest honor given to a Talbot graduate
in 2003. Sean teaches philosophy and literature at Capistrano
Valley Christian High School, in San Juan Capistrano, California.
- Before attending seminary Sean spent a year being a personal
assistant for his father, was a youth pastor in the inner
city Los Angeles, and pioneered the skateboard ministry, Higher
Ground. He also spent two years coaching basketball as
an assistant at Biola University where his teams went 27-6
and 29-5.
- Sean compiled a book with his father on youth ministry called
The Youth Ministry Handbook, and recently finished
updating his father's book The Resurrection Factor,
which gives a historical defense of the resurrection of Jesus
Christ. Sean has also contributed chapters to The New Evidence,
and publications by the Worldview Weekends.
- Audiences worldwide have appreciated Sean's candor and compelling
stories as he challenges young people and adults to deepen
their walk with Christ. In April, 2000 Sean married his high
school sweetheart, Stephanie, who also teaches high school
in southern California.
