Matt Barber

J. Matt Barber is an attorney concentrating in constitutional law. In addition to his law degree, he holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Regent University.
Matt is a published freelance writer. Many newspapers and online publications have run his columns including the Chicago Daily Herald, the Free Lance-Star, the Washington Times’ Insight Magazine, WorldNetDaily.com, TownHall.com, RenewAmerica.us, TheConservativeVoice.com, Front Page Magazine, AmericanThinker.com and many more.
In addition to frequent public speaking engagements, Matt regularly appears as a culture analyst on the Fox News Channel and MSNBC. He has interviewed with ABC World News Tonight and CNN, and is a regular guest on dozens of talk radio programs and networks including the G. Gordon Liddy Show, the Michael Medved Show, the Michael Reagan Show, Alan Colmes, USA Radio Network, Radio America, Talk Radio Network, American Family Radio, Bott Radio Network and Family News in Focus.
Mr. Barber has a background in political campaigns, was press secretary for an Illinois gubernatorial candidate and served as corporate outreach director for Americans for Truth, a national pro-family organization based in Illinois.
Matt served twelve years in the Army National Guard, was a law enforcement officer for three years and a corporate fraud investigator for five years.
He was an undefeated professional boxer retiring in 2004. Several times prior to turning pro, he was a state and regional Golden Gloves champion, competing in the 1992 Western Olympic Trials and winning a Gold Medal in the 1993 Police and Fire World Games.
Matt has now taken his fight from the boxing ring to the ring of public policy where he is proud to be part of CWA’s noble mission to “bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy.”
Issues: The homosexual agenda, pornography, marriage, family, media, religious freedom, judicial activism and other constitutional issues.
