Isn't JPUSA affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant? I know the Evangelical Covenant is getting really deep into Church Growth philosophy and 'experience' and mysticism and most conservative Christians still in the denomination are totally naive as to what is going on.

I am greatly disappointed in the way this issue is being addressed. Christ confronted people to their faces, not as an expose behind their backs. It seems that the team only saw 2 tents and 1 vendor booth, which is a very small portion of Cornerstone. That being said, I'm not trying to downplay what was witnessed at those locations as I was not in attendance at those particular events, but if something didn't coincide with the Bible, it needs to be addressed in a Christ-like manner. I was at several other events at Cornerstone 2006. Both seminars I attended, one at the Gender Revolution tent, discussed biblically accurate material. The 3 merchandise tents hosted vendor booths that gave away Scipturally accurate literature, the One Truth booth being one example. The concerts were amazing. One highlight for me was being led in prayer by the lead singer of a hardcore band. He also talked about loving as Christ loves. Two years ago, I heard Josh McDowell speak at mainstage. And last year David Nasser gave his testimony. You should check that out. Also, one does not have to be "covert" at Cornerstone. People expect to receive several pieces of literature. And yes, some people do dress differently than mainstream America, but that does not make them any less Christian. I love the fact that people can dress differently and no one cares. You can't expect 20,000 people to attend and have everyone be the same. Christ made us to be individuals. So a covert mission trip makes no sense. I can worship Him wearing black or bright purple, with or without tattoos. I could go on about Cornerstone, the God-moments I experienced, the lessons I learned, the concerts, and the fun, but that could take a month. Reading the blog made it sound like Cornestone is solely meant to twist the Truth and that is an absolute disservice to the intelligent God honoring Christians that attend. It is unfair to publicize a biased view and present it as the picture of a whole.

You accuse Cornerstone and many Christians today of being influenced by feminism and the world. Yet what if your beliefs are influenced by patriarchy and the world? What if you are starting not from the Bible but from a desire to keep our patriarchical society running as it has been for so many years, and then using the Bible to justify that? I enourage anyone reading this to more deeply consider the writings of Christians for Biblical Equality.

I had no idea that they had gone so deep into paganism, but you have presented the smoking-gun evidence. I just suspected it. You have proven it categorically. Good work.
I am shocked at the Pasantino connection, too. That's really, really weird. What were they doing there?

I feel that your article is very judgmental towards a lot of people. I've always been taught that the two greatest commandments were to Love God and Love people - it says so in the scriptures. But, many of the things you speak of in your article go against this very nature. I was at cornerstone festival 2006 on work related business and I agree there were quite a mix of people there. This, however, does not change the fact that they are also God's children. The fact that someone has a tattoo does not change their love for God. We are called to love all people, not cast a negative image towards them. The very fact that you referred to those at cornerstone with tattoos as "Christians" is judgmental in and of its self and it is not our right to do so. You may be like me and disagree with some of the things that took place at cornerstone, but that does not change the fact that a vast majority of people there Love God and Love people. If only your article demonstrated that same love.

So what's wrong with Thomas Merton? I've read some of his material and enjoyed the challenge and joy of going deeper with Christ in my thinking and life. I was confused to read in the article and in one feedback comment that it seemed bad to have his material around.

THANK YOU for informing us so our teens don't accidentally attend this camp! Levitation, speaking to the dead, skeleton/casket,glowing dead shrine,horror films lauded, labyrinth contemplative prayer, and reading from teachers like Thomas Merton - this is heartbreaking. I doubt the youth in line for the tatooing and gauging were told that gauging is a practice of voodoo worship and that Anam Cara means spirit frind! These children are being deceived in the name of Christ. Thank you for the Bible truths on your fact sheet so we can share it with others who are mislead. Since they are calling themselves brothers and sisters in Christ, you are right to expose what they are teaching our youth. But why are there booths there from Wycliff and Youth for Christ?? and a Moody professor?
