A "Noah's Ark" wouldn't help. God said He would not flood the earth again. However, there is an indication that He will melt it in a fervent heat. Capitalism is the use of "capital" in the operation of any economic system whether it be purely private enterprise, or complete government owned businesses. D'Escoto complains that global "capitalism" exploits natural resources. He really should have said "monopoly capitalism" if he wanted to be accurate. There is no difference between a government monopoly or a private enterprise monopoly. Private enterprise is the most efficient system for the allocation of natural resources. Private enterprise becomes monopolistic when society is exploited by a few privileged individuals through political parties or clans; and economics is controlled by only a few financiers or unscrupulous entrepreneurs. Free or private enterprise would regulate itself without political interference with just the basic laws already in place that govern almost all civilized societies. It has always been monopolistic capitalism that has paved the way for so called "socialism" or "communism," which has always resulted in totalitarianism. George Cancilla
