Honoring Fatherhood

My father recently passed away and it has been as incredible loss to our family. My mother passed away when I was 13. They were married for 18 years. My Dad raised 3 teenagers by himself until he remarried when I was 16. My stepmother died 17 years later and my Dad ended up raising her two grandchildren by himself in his 60's. He was the most devout Catholic I have ever known and never said a bad word about anyone. His strength and courage for all his trials through his life have been an incredible lesson to our family. As we get close to Father's Day, my heart aches for my wonderful father but I know he is with our Heavenly Father today. I don't know where our family would be if it hadn't been for an incredibly courageous, righteous, Christian man that raised us through so many hardships. I thank God everyday for such an incredible blessing He gave my brothers and me.
