President Obama in Cairo: Calls for a "New Beginning" with the Muslim World

Why did Obama make this trip?

The script for Obama's speech was well written, and apparently the teleprompter was working. The Chinese laughed at Geithner when he spoke about a strong US dolar and they should not fear. I have a feeling that most of the Muslims are laughing at Obama. Words without actions are hollow. With the use of force, the international bankers have struck out in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and Iran. If they want to do business with those people, it will have to be on the up and up, which has always been a tough nut for them to swallow. Actions speak louder than words. George Cancilla

the Christian little girls who were beheaded in Indonesia, only to have their heads placed in a bag and delivered to their families and church. Islam has NEVER been known as tolerant. Those Christians that were supposedly granted such great tolerance during the Inquisition had to pay taxes because they weren't Muslims. It's amazing to watch him rewrite history. Who will correct this in the media? I won't hold my breath. Interestingly, I watched a story on the CBS Evening News about a Muslim who showed charity to a robber in his store. Katie Couric ended the story by saying "that's what a good Muslim would do". Unfortunately, we are watching the blind lead the blind and they have forgotten the many recent examples of beheadings, hangings, rapes, torture and war at the hands of the practicioners of the 'religion of peace'. May God open their eyes.
