Why is this debated?
2 Thessalonians 2
6And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.
It's almost as if you want to see who the Lawless one is just so you can say your right! Focus on the Lord. He has the Real Power! Write something about all the false doctrine and teachers in the Churches today!..why waste your G-d given talents on this speculation.
Blessings

I WILL SPEAK OF MY WEAKNESS

Dear friend David, 1 Corinthians 1:25
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. You speak of prophecy experts, yet what man is an expert on prophecy. Jonah, a prophet called by God, was overwhelmed by the mercy of God when the preaching from his own lips brought about such a great repentance in Nineveh. Jeremiah was overwhelmed by the justice of God that was foretold by his own tongue to Jerusalem, the City of The great King, the same city that 200 prophecy experts proclaimed could not fall. The "prophecy experts" that you quote only prove by their disagreement that they know very little about what will happen. Jesus told us that it would be as the days of Noah. God told only Noah about the great flood that would come. Yet Noah did not study the great flood, which had never came before and would never come again, but he became an expert builder of Arks. Only 8 got on the ark, and yet 9 were there to build it. Methuselah, the son of Enoch, could have well been the engineer of the Ark. His father Enoch walked and talked with God and was taken up to heaven to be with The Lord Jesus forever. Yet Methuselah ,at 969, was too old to go on the ark, so God called him home the very year of the flood, before it came upon the earth. It was the ark that saved the 8 and not the study of floods. Paul said, 2 Corinthians 11:30 "If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness." and also, 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:10 That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 13:4 For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God's power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God's power we will live with him to serve you. - Jesus was crucified in weakness and Paul boasted of his weakness. Should we not speak of our weakness and not our knowledge, which is so very little. Should we not be like Noah, who instead of studying the coming flood, built an ark which by he and his whole family were saved. I will speak of my weakness, so The Lord Jesus will be strong in me. It matters not if I knew of everything that was going to happen on that day; I could not save myself or anyone else. I will choose to throw myself at the mercy of the Lord, the same One who showed mercy to evil Nineveh. I am weak, but He is strong. - Lou Newton
