I heard you on the Sean Hannity show today. OMG you must be on the hit list of almost every black person in this country. You are one of the few people, of your race, that is in touch with reality. God Bless You and I think you are right on in your views. OH, by the way I am a white female, born and raised in Texas.

Which Bible principles?

Guess what, Barrack Obama has been a example of many real Christian values. Going into public service rather than lucrative corporate work, and working with broad coalitions of people, displays a real attitude of ‘loving thy neighbor’. And apparently he is showing some forgiveness of people who opposed him and spoke out against him. Rev Peterson displays his bias, when he calls Obama the most “left wing candidate in American history”. I don’t see the major teachings of Jesus supporting “rightwing” philosophies. Christ was about having a personal relationship with God, whom he called his father, not exporting arms to other nations, and corporate philosophies which put profits above everything. In fact Christ spoke in terms that some would label as ‘socialist’. And I would challenge Rev Peterson to tell me, how the goal of having universal healthcare, is un-Christian. But part of the critique is labeling Obama a left wing person. I see him as more of a centrist. The problem is that the US has been so right wing leaning for many years, that just being for democracy, is practically a left wing view these days.

If you disagree with my heading than you need not read any further. How is "God damn America" forgiving or loving thy neighbor? Where did Peterson talk about arms and corporate interests or even bring up McCain? Are Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac not corporations? Or are they GOOD corporations because they supported the guy who agrees with you? Where does Jesus tell us to kill unwanted, unplanned, etc, babies? Where does Jesus say Caesar knows who needs money the most, and must spread the wealth around as it pleases? I know He tells us to give out of love and generosity, but maybe I missed the part where Caesar must tell us where to put our assets. Apparently you look forward to government healthcare, as if Jesus said that Caesar decides who is sick and who is well, who lives and who dies. You say the US have been too rightwing for too long; tell me why Planned Parenthood thrives on our tax dollars, we've never had so many people on welfare (not to mention those bailouts - why did they go bankrupt in the first place?), public schools are now Orwellian camps where condoms are more important than literacy, our borders are dissolving and we dare not enforce law in our own country for fear of offending illegal aliens. You want democracy - as long as the majority agrees with you, right? Remember the 52% in CA voted for Prop 8, which will likely be suppressed by 1 judge, which will be no problem to you I'm sure.

Praise the Lord for bold ministers like Rev Peterson. I have met him a few years ago and found him to be a man of strong faith who is willing to be involved in standing up for the Lord. I am in agreement with Rev Peterson that people who voted for Obama do not have a personal relationship with the Lord because the man stands for things that are antichrist. Truth is what he speaks. Remember to those who hate the truth, the truth is hate.

Rev. Peterson has given me hope that all African Americans do not judge by the color of our skin, but by the issues. I would love to have voted for the first African American president, but I saw what Rev. Peterson saw. Thank you, Rev. Peterson, for not putting race above your values and beliefs.

voting according to God's direction

I believe that if that if we would vote with God's direction; (he does give us that inner voice to listen to) that we would have a different outcome in this election. May each one who hears God's voice within us, pray EVERY DAY for this country.

Guy from MN, When did he say anything about it being because they were democrat? He didn't. He talked about unbiblical beliefs, which coincidentally seem to be popular in the democratic party. Should we stop opposing unbiblical and godless beliefs and practices if one party accepts them?

halleluyah to Rev. Jesse Peterson... a man worth on the word "Reverant"! He is only Black man in American who has got the analysis right! Obama is not Messiah, Jesus is. Most Black preachers serve their Mamas, not the Lord Jesus Christ. Obama is a Socialist and most Black (and most white, brown, red, yellow people) are going to hell too!!!! Very Refreshing... I would vote for him for President! He capitalizes on the True Christian religion: Who is the Messiah? The Trinity The Trinitary Godhead in USA is 3 S's: Sex, Sports, and Self; not Father, Son, Holy Spirit God Bless Him and Protect this True Patriot of God! YBic Your Man in Ohio

worshipping false messiah

these black preachers that praised the election of Obmama as God blessed, are fools. They were thinking of their church membership, and the fact that a lot of the members would have left the "church" , if they had been told the truth about the evils of Obama and the demcratic party

The Struggle
Posted On: 11/15/08 10:02:04 AM Age 45, KS
I believe the Rev.has got it right but being black in America and a believer, I am so torn, our president elect is the right color but his stance on the moral issues are all wrong. Our black communities have been suffering for so long(poverty, discrimination, injustice, etc.)and unforutnately, lack of knowledge is even a bigger issue for our church communities (the people perish for the lack of knowledge). I believe that they will soon see that this president does not have our best interest at heart. We need to pray more now than ever before.
