Another Christian College Lost?
PAGE: 1

Let's not paint it black yet...

Though I am concerned, and indeed we should be looking at this and taking action on this, nevertheless, I don't think I would define it as "lost" yet. I have several friends who (I consider) are discerning, and I think I might have heard things were going bad if this was the case.

My friends had talked about some stuff that they are concerned about at Northwestern College recently, so yeah, definitely should be concerned.

Biola University

Our daughter finished classes at Biola in Dec. 07 and graduated with her friends in May 08. Since December I had read on another website about their embracing the Contemplative Prayer/Spiritual Formation practices. It wasn't until I saw Rick Warren as the Commencement Speaker that I realized it was true. His message was uninspiring to me. It is a shame that these once great colleges are falling away. We sent our daughter to a Christian college so her faith would be reinforced and not torn down by liberal profs. Where will she send her children to college if the bible colleges are "going liberal" and not teaching the Word of God. (as a side note. I managed to keep my daughter away from Harry Pot Head (as we call him) for her whole education UNTIL she took a literature class at Biola. Guess what was required reading??? 4 of the Harry Potter books. Unbelievable.)
