The Struggle Between Left and Right
PAGE: 1

Socialism is a fine understatement for communism.

I hope the US does not go the way of that governmental system which our forefathers escaped. I am naturalized and know full well the crushing of the spirit that exudes from a nanny state. Too bad there are so many ignorant Americans. Schools have largely done this indoctrination. It has been a well thought out plan. Probably it began a couple hundred years ago in earnest. It began with a Godless plan of dominance, and will ultimately end that way. I just hope that all those fine upstanding Americans that have fought for years and years for our freedoms did not sacrifice in vain. But even if it seems they did, the Satanic Left will loose in the end. All this hype about 'free' this and 'free' that in a so-called welfare state! What a joke! It never workied in the past and will not work in the future. If you sacrifice your freedom for security you deserve neither and will loose both. PGW

Right is Left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"The party on the right, the Republican, desires to hold to a society grounded in Judeo-Christian principles and Capitalism, based on the principle of equal opportunity." I find it interesting that you have been led to believe that the "Right" stands against abortion. John McCain supports abortion as did President Bush who allowed 2.2 billion dollars of taxpayer money to be granted to Planned Parenthood. A large chunk of that money either directly or indirectly funded the murder of the unborn. Regarding Public Education the "Right" has had the opportunity to do away with the unjust Dept. of Education and have done nothing to remove it or even make a proposal to remove it. They have openly given it greater taxpayer funds throughout the last 30 years. Regarding transforming the Supreme Court with liberal appointments. Again, the "Right" is responsible for appointing 7 of the 9 justices currently serving. Has Roe V Wade been overturned??? Nope!!! Further, McCain said he will not appoint judges based on their beleifs or rulings only their qualifications. Hope they have nice resumes!! He will be pretty close to Obama in his appointments be sure. As far as foreign policy, The "Right" is no better then the Left as they start unconstitutional wars and are equally responsible for bankrupting America. Both Obama and McCain have the same foreign policy they just state it differently. I do agree with you regarding prayer, however God has already given us two pathetic candidates to rule over us and they are sadly what we seem to deserve. A corrupt people elect corrupt individuals to rule over them. I personally voted for Chuck Baldwin. Even though the majority of Americans seem to have traded their children's inheritance for a bowl of soup (i.e. a bowl of soup that will be forcefully given to someone else by Mother Government) I remain hopeful and trust God as all believers must do. By raising and teaching my own children the truth at home and living that truth with God by their sides they and their children's children may raise this country up again from the burning ashes of our current ruin and once again further the Kingdom of God by calling all men and women to repent from their evil ways and beleive. Dr. Reagan you seem a wise man in many respects, but let us as Christians stop believing the lies of those who say they are for us but are actually only concerned with political gain. When the fruit they have beared as a whole over the last 20 years is rotten to the core. Let us take dominion and subdue our government and all facets of our life for the glory of our Savior and King ruling from His throne as we speak! God Bless, E Myskowski

Differences Very Small Now
Posted On: 10/30/08 01:18:13 PM Age 40, NH
The differences between the party's now is almost negligible. Republicans (esp. under the Bush leadership) has moved the US to a socialist bent very quickly. This election isn't between capitalists and socialist or liberals and conservatives but is between how far and how fast we become socialist. There is no real conservative in the race between the two parties. The paradigm set forth in this article doesn't exist at this time and we should recognize that. If we don't, then people will continue to get the same old stuff masquarading as differences. Grace and Peace, jim

no equal opportunity
Posted On: 10/29/08 10:48:20 PM Age 22, MN
This country does not have equal opportunity. Racial discrimination, whether accidental, intentional, or subconscious, still happens. These people groups still do not have equal opportunity because it is impossible to restore a history chalk full of oppression. Republicans will never have the capitalistic society they want if they do not address the issues faced by people groups who are still struggling because of past and present wrongs. -Dan Smith

  1. No Solution

Hi Dan, First of all there is always going to be some racial discrimination--going both ways. Some blacks discriminate against whites and assume that the whites are being racist. Some whites do the same with blacks. If there is unintentional racism then you can't prove that it is happening and thus your point is one which can not be, 1. proven or, 2. remedied and is therefore a hopeless problem. So to say that there is not equal opportunity is bogus. Obama is president. Oprah is one of the richest people in the word is one of the most powerful in American media. Colin Powell and Condi Rice are precedent setters of powerful people of color. The opportunity is equal, the achievement may not be but that also can't be mandated because not all give equally or are equally qualified. Grace and Peace, Jim

Correction.....

The Left does indeed openly stand for free sex, the killing of the unwanted babies resulting from such behavior, drug use, homosexuality, and just about every depravaity known to Man. The right pays lip service to Gods ways but goes ahead and practices them anyway. The divorce rate, abortion rate, drug abuse rate, teen pregnancy rate, and just about all the other depravities of this world are no different among those who claim to be Christian than those who are in open rebellion. Furthermore, the right now claims it has a mandate from Christ hmself to bomb the world into submitting to this godlessness thinly diguised as Grace. The right went wrong and deserves to lose.

Right and Left
Posted On: 10/29/08 04:30:50 PM Age 62, MO
What used to be the "right" in American politics has gone extremely right to fascism. They went "right" out of the country. But then, the "left" left the country as well. Both left and right in search of imperialistic conquests and a one world order. The left does embrace more of the communist liberal ideals, but that too ends up in fascism. Today the old time conservative right is probably best exemplified by the likes of Ron Paul, Pat Buchanan, and the Constitution Party (who has Chuck Baldwin on ballot for President). George Cancilla
