How true! We have not seen the worst of this yet. This nation is a house of cards. I do not see how it can stand for any period of time. It seems that by economic truths and also God's judgment that this nation will have a complete fall. I think the time is coming, that if you saw a $100 bill on the ground, you would not bother to pick it up. Lou Newton

Most families owned only one car?

I remember listening to my parents and grandparents talk about what happened during the Great Depression. They said the first thing they did without was transportation with the automoble. Gas was a luxury item. My Great Grandfather had small farm and also did contruction work with his team of horses and mules, he was a real teamster. I also remember them saying they walked to and from the different jobs they had. They did not have one job during the depression, they had many.
