Why don't we see the entire video? The audio stops after "Joe" asks his question. John McCain's web ad may have manipulated the audio also, it's hard to tell.
Why does Joe get so much support? He talks about taxes and he owes almost $2000 in taxes???!!! Doesn't add up.

Charity is not charity if it is coerced and/or plundered

IF the government takes over the charity, then the charities will have nothing to do!Worse yet, there will be less available for the charities to work with--and it will be more difficult to be helpful... NOT a good idea at all...
Also, there was someone of note, from the late 1800's, who correctly stated that the welfare state creates poverty. Why should we vote for someone who wants to create poverty?
Thanks for making this forum available! Blessings!

Joe was a ringer-

Joe the Plumber wasn't actually an undecided- he was a McCain supporter and quoted party line in response to Obama. His responses indicate that he didn't actually listen to what Obama had to say to him. If the campaign wants to bring in a shill, why can't they at least be honest and admit that that's what it is?

Who's Failed Econmic Policy

We keep hearing form Obama that McCain represents four more years of a failed Bush economic policy and yet one year ago we only heard about Iraq from him. The econmic numbers were at 5 and 10 year highs. What happened? First oil skyrocketed, and then the mortgage bank debacle. This caused the crash and who is at fault? Joe the Plumber is absolutely the winner. The socialist democratic congress and their transfer of wealth caused the banking problem and their failure to capture the vast energy reserves that belong to the American people caused the oil transfer of wealth the arab oil cournties. The sad thing is Obama not McCain represents four more years of the same failed economic policies.

- Don't blame the Republican or Democrat ideologies
| Posted On: 10/18/08 12:20:05 PM | | Age 62, MO | Both main parties are complicit in the demise of the U.S. economy. For a century neither party has addressed the illegality of the Federal Reserve monetary system of creating money out of thin air, and further using fractional reserves to back it up. It was an overwhelming majority of Congress that passed NAFTA and other harmful trade agreements which has caused the manufacturing segment of our economy to almost dry up entirely. Both sides of the aisle have pandered to big corporate interests, turning their backs on we the people, leaving this country, essentially, in a state of corporate fascism. - Socialism coming
| Posted On: 10/21/08 08:13:22 AM | | Age 48, MO | Absolutely correct. However, when you get down to it, it is still "we the people." We the people are to blame because we still have the power and are complacent to use it. Not to worry though, we won't have any power for long!!! John Click here to reply to this post

We have a clear choice

Our choice this year between the 2 major party candidates for President of these United States is clear: a conservative or a socialist.
I understand that there are those living among us who desire and dream of a socialist America, and they have a major party presidential candidate for whom to cast their ballot this year. But, I also believe there are those among us who are deceived.
However, after exchanges like those between Mr. Wurzelbacher ('Joe the Plumber') and Senator Obama, it would seem any who remain 'deceived' are choosing to be so.
But I will continue to pray for all eyes to be opened.
