"Emerging" Deception

I've been watching this "emergent" progress for a few years, red flags first came with "Purpose Driven", being a former Catholic makes one very sensitive to deception especially when there's an introduction to the vintage Christianity of the "Catholic" desert fathers, our church was "almost" high-jacked by a "mildly" emergent pastor, we spoke with him first, then, by God's grace, we prayed him off, no ruckus, no hurt feelings, no broken friendships, NO church split, (several former Catholics in the church family), and we now have a great bible preaching pastor (sin, hell, salvation, atonement, etc.), though there are legitimate concerns raised in the emergent movement, the end time delusion is blatantly obvious within it, and yet many are following the wolves in sheeps clothing.

* The teaching that Jesus Christ will rule and reign in a literal millennial period is considered unbiblical and heretical.
this is to say that Christ Will reign for a 1000 years Correct? that is what I have always been told.

THE REVELATION

The error of these men you list are very serious and they should be avoided. But The Revelation is about The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ and it started in Genesis 1 and that was in the past. The revelation of the Lord Jesus continues to this day and He will return in the future for the climatic event. Rev 1: 8"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." The Book of The Revelation is not about the future or even time, but it is about The Revelation of the Lord Jesus which takes place in the past, present, and future. Lou Newton
