What is need here

While I think discussing this is a good thing, I also think that the most important thing that any of us can do, and more importantly should be doing, is praying for Ray. NOT praying that Ray will see our points, but rather that the Lord would guide Ray to do His Will regardless of any of our points of view. I don't think there's anything more important than that right now and I'm asking everyone to join me in this so that God's Will will be accomplished here.
As to my opinion on whether or not Ray should preach at that conference, I believe that the only way he should do so is if he makes it very clear to them that he disagrees with their teachings. Paul did not pretend to agree with the worship of Athena in order to preach the Gospel. Instead he was always very upfront about who he was and about Who he represented.

I trust Ray to be someone as a strong Christian, and thus, the best thing now is that we pray that God will lead him to make the correct decision(s), regardless of what we think is the correct decision(s) at this time (i.e. whether to go or not). Have a great day and God Bless.

Paul did not attack the leaders of the Athena cult but simply preached Jesus Christ crucified and anyone with half a brain could see that he did not agree with the leaders of the Athena cult. If they could not see that Paul disagreed with them, they would not have tried to kill Paul in so many places. If Ray preaches Jesus Christ crucified to these men, anyone searching for the truth can see that it does not agree with the name it and claim it message. We should pray that The Holy Spirit will speak through Ray and people will be convicted and repent. Once they give their life to Jesus, He will give them the Holy Spirit. You can not leave anyone in better hands than the Holy Spirit can you. Lou

I agree with Mr Silva that unless Ray plans to debate and expose Word of Faith at the conference, he should stay away. I'm not sure that it would be a good opportunity to expose them anyway, because they would probably marginalize him. George Cancilla
