state f unded religeon

The state funded religeon is naturalism and pantheism. It surfaces in the doctrine of evolution. Many christians throw away their theistic beliefs in order to avoid conflict by saying, " God could have allowed evolution to happen." This is an attack on God's character because He did not need to go back and fix His mistakes. Nevertheless, The federal government has established a national religon, naturalism, and it is preached in every school and we pay for it with tax dollars. I am glad i live in oklahoma and hope other state get in the fight for the 14th.

Romans 1:18-31 lived out in America

Another excellent commentary dealing not with the effects (gay marriage, abortion, legalized porn, etc) but the cause, a rejection of God that goes back several years. I recently preached a sermon where I took the congregation through recent American History and Romans 1:18-31 to show where we are based on rejection of God as Creator, the foolish wisdom of our educational system, and the resulting decisions by the courts, culture, etc. Why is it amazing to us that the Bible is always right on in revealing the problems is always right in its solutions! Again, thank you for your strong presentation of Biblical Worldview. Perhaps we can reverse the current trends.

Enforcing a strict separation of church and state, even at the state level, may not be a bad idea. At least it puts all evangelists on a level playing field. Without this protection, we could have the Mormon state of Utah, the secular state of California, the Episcopal state of Massachusetts, the Catholic state of Florida. Some of these might be OK, but others could be awful.

The Federal Government must answer to the State Governments

The Federal Government of the U.S. has been overstepping its bounds since the American Civil War. We the people must reign it in through our State governments, exercising non violent non participation if necessary. We must be active in choosing representatives to our State legislatures, and representatives to Congress who hold these ideals. The choosing of U.S. Senators should be done by the State legislatures rather than the open vote, as it was done before the 17th Ammendment. (Repeal the 17th Ammendment). The Federal Government of the U.S. has done very little for the benefit of the people (Defense perhaps?), and a great deal to exploit and degrade the citizens. The Federal Government is mostly a worthless monstrosity that costs too much to feed. If the proper checks and balances are not going to overturn illegal judicial decsions, then America is nothing but a hollow shell waiting to die...and sometimes I think it may have already expired. One Nation under " WE" the People plus In God we Trust

Separation of "Church" and "State" is an
oxymoron. Church is only, always people and
never buildings, organizations, or religious
groups. The Greek word ecclessia always meant "called out ones" -where and when the
"church" met was not included. The same can
be said of State and Government. That certainly is what the Founding Fathers Had to mean in saying "a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Who are "these people" we are calling state
and/or people? Government or state as with church is never a separate intinty from People. You and I and every person alive is
the "sum Total" of what he or she believes.
As a man believeth so is he, Proverbs said.
Do we, can we, tell a man, any man, plummer, politician, president or whoever,
"You must not "believe anything religious or from the Bible, since you are going to be
a President, Politician or whoever... That is supposed to be "what freedom is all about" among many other Rights and Liberties, and Freedoms given by our Creator-God and since there is no other possible "Source" for Rights and Freedoms,
there really can be no other option. If it isnt God's Way it must be the "Broadway" that ends in destruction.

Contacting your Senator or Representative

With this topic and many others Brannon, his guests and callers have said we must contact our lawmakers if we want to affect change. Below are two links that will allow you to do just that. Open the link or copy the address and paste it into your browser, select your state and you will see the appropriate Representative or Senators email contact. Select whom you wish to write and another screen will open to prepare your email.

Also.. remember elections are coming.. Vote like you've perhaps never voted before. I heard a great analogy while listening to another of Brannon's shows, "Don't Drink and Drive", don’t drive when you are incapable of making good choices. Likewise, don't pull the "party" handle; don’t press the button to elect someone or anyone that you don't know anything about. That mentality should start at the top, with the Presidential race, the laws your Congressmen and Representative are proposing and filter all the way down to your local level issues.
