Ayers is the result of parents who toss their children in public schools, including State Universities and Community Colleges, like government run day care. Ayers is just the tip of the iceburg that is the radical liberal domination of our public education system, especially the "Higher Education" institutions.
As for '42 IL's solution... home schooling, well there is a growing national movement for states to ban or outlaw home-schooling! California and several other states (Usually the more liberal the state, the more likely they are to follow California's lead, and outside of the East Coast, few states are less liberal than Illinois!), have already banned or made it so difficult to acquire the home schooling permit, that it is virtually impossible to do. And if you have to jump through hoops for the state, what do you bet, that soon, those states who still allow home-schooling will require "Diversity of Life styles" be taught as part of the reqirements Home schooled children must be versed in, before they can receive a G.E.D.
I think this is a little too late, to weed out the undesirables in public educaiton institutions.

"I feel we didn't do enough." Perhaps Ayers is implying he thinks that kind of garbage should still be happening? Last I checked, wasn't sedition against the government a capital crime? And yet this man is teaching American students.

This was all I needed to hear to encourage me to continue homeschooling my daughter. We fail to remember that public schools are, in reality, government schools. We have no control over what is being taught to the innocent, precious minds of our children. This man is poisoning the next generation and no one is stopping him. I guess are just as guilty as he if we sit on our hands and keep our mouths closed regarding his very anti-American influence. Political correctness and tolerance have been and will be, what destroys our country.
