The Truth will set you free

The Internet can be a great source of information for Christians views and beliefs. On the other hand much of what we see and hear is with much discernment and much prayer to protect our minds and heart from deception and lies that come from Godly people. Well, we all have a lack of knowledge and discernment due to our unwillness and discipline to meditate on God's Word daily with much prayer before and after. If we did, then there would be no need for any of these Christian sites to warn a true Believer. So many of these sites may believe thay are doing the will of God when in reality they are believing a lie. A true Believer who hears what the Spirit is saying walks in the power of God and the annointing of the Holy Spirit is upon him so that Greater things we will do in the name of Jesus. Our sin nature tempts us to follow after every flase teaching that makes us feel good even when it is disguised as a Revival. Such foolish people we are and such foolishness that takes place on these sites in the name of Jesus. Well, Jesus did say many would come in my name in the last days. When was the last time you had a word from the Lord via an e-mail. Go into your closest and be still and know that I AM that I AM.

False Prophets and FALSE DOCTRINES
Posted On: 06/18/08 05:44:25 PM Age 50, MN
The Holy Spirit that is INSIDE OF ME as promised by The Holy Bible tells me when a preacher or doctrine is correct. I have seen it all. A friend gives me CD's of Todd Bentley and it sounds horrid.I immediately get a sinking feeling and a sore heart. It' that EASY to discern. GOD is awesome and CHRIST JESUS is our savior. I refuse to watch the You Tube Videos because I think You Tube is satan's playground. We are The Generation that will be alive to see The Tribulation and The Beast System. Remember NOT to accept The MARK...False teachings are popping up everywhere. In truth they have existed since the First Century and The GNOSTIC GOSPELS. Are you believing in a SECRET RAPTURE? You've been fooled. CHRIST does not return until all HELL has broken out on this Earth and that' a BIBLICAL fact. YOU DO THE RESEARCH and PRAY FOR WISDOM. The Books Of REVELATION, Daniel, Ezekiel and ENOCH are all coming true. And that's NOT A JOKE. Thank You. Timothy J Clark

Lakeland Revival
Posted On: 06/18/08 12:42:49 PM Age 36, IA
I;m disappointed that we are all suppose to be brothers and sisters in Christ, yet we have people slamming other believers. Well I can tell you first hand on the Lakeland Revival, I went down there like week 3 of it, before it had to be moved, because how much it has grown. I can understand how some people don't understand it, because everything they do has to be in the box, if it's outside the box, then it's no good. From my own persoanl experience there, God blessed me greatly there, and God put different people in my path there, and when a man there starting praying for me, there was like a feeling lik fire on my hands, and when I went back to my home church, some people went down under the anointing, other were healed, it was so strong. So all I want to say, is be careful who you call a false prophet, and ask God to tell you, but you have to ask with a open heart, so get out of the box, and enjoy life the way the Lord wanted you to enjoy it.

  1. Slamming other Christians and getting out of the box
    Posted On: 06/30/08 10:59:20 PMAge 37, CANADA
Hi, it is not slamming other Christians to point out the factual actions they are engaged it. No one is attacking his person, colour of his skin or his dignity as a human being. All that is being done is to report what is going on at this revival "Getting outside the box"? You need to understand what the Bible is my friend. It is the ONLY God-breathed, infallible Word of God. It is complete in 66 books and is the SOLE guide and FINAL AUTHORITY for all faith and practice of a Christian. All actions and teachings and mens words must be compared to the Bible. God commands us to "Test all things" in 1 John. When we compare this false revival in Lakeland to the Bible, the Bible condemns it. You cannot go outside the "Box" of Biblical doctrine. God cannot lie. So God's Spirit will not and cannot do something "outside the box" of the Biblical doctrines. And this IS happening in Lakeland, so it in NOT of God. So who is behind it? Read the Bible and decide for yourself based on what the Bible says. Are there born again Christians in attendance? I'm sure there are, but that has nothing to do with the nature of this false revival. Pepole that agree with Bentley do not know what their Bibles say! Or they are appalled when they see what is going on and leave. I agree with the young man that gave his "2 cents" as well, and revival must lift up and FOCUS on the person of Jesus Christ, and result in a zeal for prayer, a zeal to to bow down and worship and praise Him, a zeal for His Word, and to save lost souls. True revival occurs within your heart when you surrender all to Jesus, truly make Him your Master (your Lord, your commander), when you respond to the Word of God, and let Him do a work in your heart by His Spirit, so you better know what He says in the Bible, and what He commanded in the rest of the New Testament through His Apostles! In Scripture we are never told to focus on the Holy Spirit or a man. I believe Todd Bentley is somewhat like Simon the sorcerer in Acts. No matter how sincere you are, or good hearted, you must read God's Word to judge all matters, NOT EXPERIENCE or a FEELING. God's Word tells us the truth, not Experience: the devil can do lying wonders as the Bible says. Feelings cannot be trusted - the heart is desperately wicked and deceitful above all things - who can know it? laments Jeremiah in the Bible. Hope this helps, God bless you in your search for truth.

  2. My 2 cents
Posted On: 06/21/08 03:56:42 AMAge 18, SOUTH AFRICA
While you were there, did God show you your sin? Did He remind you that without God you have nothing? Were you humbled to the point of desperation at which you asked why God, why would you choose to show love and mercy to a repulsive sinner who hated you (i.e. yourself)? Do you now have a greater passion to tell the lost that they need to repent and believe? Did you even hear that message from the stage? I don't think that's a box, when Jesus started His ministry, he healed people and performed miracles to authenticate what He was saying because there were many false prophets then who claimed to be Christ (John 20:30-31). Why did Jesus come to earth? "To seek and save that which is lost" - He came primarily for the glory of God by the repentance of sinners - not healings or miracles etc. Jesus told the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, Abraham told the rich man that "If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead." (Luke 16:31)... We have scripture, if people continue to "suppress the truth in unrighteousness" (Romans 1:18) then why would they believe if someone was healed or raised from the dead? If we do believe then there is no need for miracles since miracles served to authenticate Jesus' message. I'm sorry but claiming that an author is "slamming other believers" is foolish, firstly the article is claiming that Bentley is not a believer and therefore your reason for not "slamming" him is void, secondly, I would like to ask you to examine his message. Does He call for people to "Repent and Believe the gospel" as Jesus did? j3

Thank you for ...

Thank you so much for writing "Found, God's Will" It has made a definite positive difference in my attitude and I always keep it handy. AND...Thank you so much for writing these things! I'm in a grateful spirit right now...Blessings! (The Holy Spirit doesn't need to be accompanied with grunts or animal ruckus...) To those people who don't believe in regularly cracking open a Bible...there's a parable that interprets out that non-preparedness in that area will suffer sad consequences,(being hit in the noggin so one's teeth fall out wasn't what our Savior had in mind, I'm sure, though--) Something about being too late for the Bridegroom's appearance and locked out? So, in any event, I'm praying for them.

Donated organs must be harvested within minutes of death, not two days later as this story claims. Within hours, the organs become useless.

Revival
Posted On: 06/17/08 04:55:30 PM Age 46, AK
Dear Brethren: I too will not participate in what is taking place in Florida. I come from a conservative background that turned charismatic to the Lord taking us out of church and into His Word for years to show us Truth and sound Doctrine. I do believe in the supernatual acts of God and have seen genuine and false. God changes not and again I do believe in signs and wonders of Him, the Bible is evident that continues along with His Spiritual gifts which were given upon Christ's ascension for the equipping of the saints even today. But signs and wonders ALWAYS followed the preaching of the Word in the New Testament. Sound doctrine and Christ crucified is what we are to preach. I do believe all things must be measured by Scripture and God will not contradict. But I also believe God does still speak audibly to us and it will not be apart from the Written Word. We do have personal relationships with Him. But I don't think someone has a private pipeline to that type of experience daily, for the most part, we have His Word. No Scripture is given to any one man for private interpretation either. We are seeing people "idolizing" these big name "evangelists". Following after ministries and not after God. People have forgotten to be a Berean to search out the Scriptures for themselves and test all things taught and experienced. We are seeing experience being put above the Word. ERROR!! Experience can never alone testify of Truth. We are not to change the Word to make the experience fit, but to the experience must always fit within God's nature, character, Word. I don't believe that because something is not spelled out specifically in black and white in the Word can't be from God either---meaning---God could do an amazing thing such as-- a woman I know was drowning in a river and she said she felt a large hand lift her onto the river bank. Now we might not find that in Scripture exactly but it does NOT contradict God's nature of saving and help. We are not to focus on angles, but rather we know they exist and are sent according to God's own Words to minister to us as He alone wills. He commands His angels. People did have brief conversations in the Bible with them, but it was always in response to what God had sent them to do, they did not come to be personal servants to man. Conversations were brief. I do think that this is coming from God--- in this way---those who believe and LOVE a lie will be given over to strong delusion that the Father will send HIMSELF. I believe this is a great sifting of those who will stand for Truth and those who are easily swayed by false. But I agree that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood and that we should not bite and devour one another or be personal. Nor should we be silent. But our handling of this situation must be with a heart of restoration and correction in love, yet not with insipid hearts. We must hate the lie and false but love the Truth. We need to pray for God's mercy on those who are attending that are sincerely seeking God and falling into this out of ignorance. We also need to pray for God to bring strong correction on those who are mature and willfully subverting the Truth. The lame did walk, the dead were raised, the blind did see, and I believe these things still happen today by faith according to God's will and Word. But the display and antics we see taking place in this revival are defiling a HOLY God. Bringing shame to a God of perfection, order, Holiness. Without Truth in all things we then witness the flesh which turns to the demonic. Motivations may have started out good, intentions are for a true move of God but when man tries to bring about the things of God in HIS OWN WISDOM and WAYS, we have a mix of profane and holy. Just like Nadab and Abihu offered strange fire before the Lord, they thought it was good, but they had already been trained and given instruction on correct worship. Judgement was swift and destruction was complete. I too believe that this revival will bring spiritual destruction by mixing the holy and the profane. We see fruit already in that this is causing much division and strife in the church. We must not choose any side but the side of Truth and God's holiness in much fear. Let God deal with His people, and may He have mercy at the same time. Dr. Linda Sio

End time deception
Posted On: 06/17/08 01:30:06 PM Age 66, CO
You are so right on. It is alarming to me how easily people and Christians can be deceived. In my observation through the years I believe it's because of their lack of knowledge of His Word (the Bible). We have 40 year old christians who have never progressed from infancy and who's to blame? Their leaders, those in the pulpit who have spewed a fuzzy warm social gospel the last 50 years. It's very easy to identify a fraud if you know what the genuine looks like. Just like a banker who knows the difference between fake and real bills. We need to be in the Word to be able to recognize the fakes because were working from a solid foundation of Truth. Keep up the good work that you are doing by informing the Christian community of the deception in the world today so nieve and innocent children of God will not be caught up in it. In these end times we will see an increase in this deception so more then ever we need Godly wisdom that comes from His Word. Maranatha

don't know what to say. I think only God can truly know who Todd Bentley is and what he is doing. The Church in the US is so divided and messed up and we are all slinging hate and critisism around while masses are dying and going to hell. I only know Mr. Bently is talking about Jesus and maybe he is out of line, I don't know. The mass media never talks about Jesus and when they do it's either negative or they say "yea he's cool and all that but so what." I may not know what to think until I am standing in that church filled with the spirit:then I may know but until then I withhold judgement and so should everyone else.

  1. It's the Bible
    Posted On: 06/30/08 11:21:09 PMAge 37, CANADA
Hi, it is not fair or truthful to condemn people for obeying the Bible in "Proving all things" and "Testing the spirits". God commands us to search the Scriptures to see if these things are Biblical, as did the noble Bereans in the Book of Acts in the Bible. I believe it is a "red herring" to mention that the world condemns the Bible and Jesus in relation to the issue at hand. You said "I may not know what to think until I am standing in that church filled with the spirit:then I may know but until then I withhold judgment and so should everyone else." This is unscriptural to say the least. The Bible tells us to judge all things - by the Word of God. We are to have the Bible as our sole guide of faith and practice, not experience as you suggest, that is backwards. We are commanded to interpret experience by the Bible, not the Bible by experiences. We don't have to go there to judge it and examine it. If you judge by experience, then you are setting yourself up for deception. Jesus said many false prophets and false teachers would be among us , and God condemns them and says they will suffer perdition, and lead many with them in Peter's epistle. There are a multitude of Bible believing Christians who preach a sound Biblical message about the Lord Jesus Christ and they are heard by millions in the world. The Jesus and the message Todd Bentley is preaching is not those in the Bible, and I encourage you to read your Bible for yourself and believe what it says. The Holy Spirit will not contradict what He wrote in the Bible, and what is happening in Lakeland does, so who what spirit is behind it? If Jesus is to be preached then repentance and believing the Gospel so to be saved by Him from eternal punishment in Hell must be preached, and that is the message and focus of true revival. Thank you, God bless you.

Weeping and gnashing of teeth

With Floods, earthquakes, fires, droughts, a food crisis, an economic crisis all happening at once around America, this is NOT a time for this sort of Todd Bentley blasphemy. America is going under the hand of Judgment. Indeed that hand is now beginning to show itself more and more clearly to the discerning Christian. Our Economy is collapsing. This is not merely a recession, but will soon be a full blown depression. Today most people do not want to hear God's truth. They roll their eyes or run away as soon as you mention God and his ways. The Churches, by and large, are not preaching the word of God, but rather New Age mumbo-jumbo that sounds religious but isn't. We have false revivals, false prophets, false evangelists of every stripe deceiving the people. Very few are warning about the things that are happening, and that are to come to America. We must prepare our hearts accordingly and cling to the Savior, Jesus Christ. Those of us who truly know him should have no fear, because He will see us through these times. Those that don't know Him should be afraid, because the disasters that are now happening are only the beginning of what will befall the US. Sadly, most Americans I see are completely oblivious to what is happening. I believe it is part of a spiritual blindness. Many have taken a drink from the cup that the Great Harlot gives to all who serve her. It is called deceit. Most Americans are drunken from the cup of this harlot and can no longer see what is happening. Many people are blind and ignorant of our spiritual, economic, and political fate. The call for America to corporately repent has ceased. She has gone too far. There will be no general or mass revival. Now is the time for individuals to save themselves by coming to the Cross and serving the only one who can save us: Jesus Christ. George Cancilla

Let's be sure of what we are talking about with the revival in Lakeland. Listen with an open heart. We could miss an important move across the world God is doing in our time to draw people to Himself. He does work in marvelous and mysterious ways.

God works only in Biblical ways, He will not work in ways not described in the Bible. "Prove all things" "Test the spirits", and David says "I esteem all Thy precepts to be true, and I hate every false way"
