Why Aren't Pastors and Preachers preaching this?
Posted On: 05/22/08 11:46:13 AM Age 55, AZ
Thanks and praise to God for this clear and concise message. Thanks, Ray for being the messenger. Pastors and preachers should check their hearts and conscience to see why they have not been preaching and teaching God's truths instead of watering down and changing God's message into something made for the pop culture. Pastors and preachers need to teach and challenge their believers into placing God first in their lives and being God's servants first above all else, including family. Remember, Jesus taught that we are to love God and hate our family; meaning, the difference in our love for God and our love for our family should no less than our normal difference between love and hate/revulsion. Please, no more of nonsensical teachings that exclude the believer's duties to work for the harvest and to only tend to other belivers and their prosperity here on earth. Teach your flock to deny themselves and take care of God's work first - the harvest (Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost). If you do, your congregation will spiritually grow and thrive while bringing in new, like minded believers.

Our Great God

This is a really simple presentation of the gospel. Nicely written, Ray! I think we'll read this in family worship tonight. And combine this with the truth that it is only by God's grace that any of us repent and believe, it really makes this gospel of grace, "amazing." Praise the LORD!
