How True
Posted On: 05/16/08 03:46:44 PM Age 49, IL
Well done Ray. For those who say, 'we've always had tornadoes, earthquakes, etc', I urge you to key in on Matthew 24:8, "All these are the beginning of birth pains". Birth pains start out far apart and not too painful. As the time draws near for the birth, the pains increase tremendously, and they come faster and harder. When you see more violent weather, increased crime, homosexuality and sexual immorality increasing, etc., then know this, His return is near, right at the door. Let's be watchful, and pray we may be counted worthy to escape all that is about to happen.

too true

To watch is to be prepared for the unexpected. It is to give up the illusions of straight-line extrapolations, the silly assumption that current trends will continue. It is to abandon the calculations of the pundits about the swinging of some invisible pendulum. In this time, particularly, it is to accept the fact that life will not go on as it has. A change is in the offing, but no one knows what direction it will take. History is the realm of contingency, the unexpected. The proper eschatology is watchful expectancy for the Abba's work and will, and a wary guardedness about the rebounding perversity of humankind. The danger is to preempt the future with our own agenda and our own eagerness to be proven right by history. - Robert Jewett, "Jesus Against the Rapture"

End of Age
Posted On: 05/15/08 03:34:17 PM Age 45, ME
Scripture gives us some clues to look at for the end of the age. One was when Isreal became a nation again in 1948 but that is only part of the clue. Luke 21:29 Behold the fig tree we are told AND ALL THE TREES: (if you study your bible, trees often reference people and nations) Look up "fig" and you will see it is Isreal, the nation here. Most study bibles represent this but the real clue is "all the trees/nations. The other nations that shot forth are the satelite nations of the soviet union. vs. 30 When THEY now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer(tribulation) is now nigh at hand. vs 32 ...this generation (40 years) shall not pass away till all be fulfilled. Lists are in place in America of people to pick up. Guilliotines are here to waiting for the near future.

Very nice Ray, well done. That scripture in 2Peter is one of my favorites to recall when talking with the youth of today and giving them a "snapshot" of what today looks like. God bless you. Craig Gleason

The 40's date (actually 1948) is when Israel became a nation....1967 is when they took Jerusalem. 19 years later. There are 2 prophecies about the 70 years (+ additional for disobedience) 1 for National Israel...1 for Jerusalem and the incidents in antiquity were 19 years apart...just like 1948-1967 is 19 years.hmmmmm.... makes ya think!

end of the age

I strongly believe that the end of age will come eventually. How soon? We can't tell. The bible is way too vague about it. All of those "signs" you listed have been happening for the last two thousand years and beyond. It is good to acknowledge the second coming of Christ, but since we cannot know when it will happen, we must live like it is coming tomorrow. -Dan Smith

Adams place in creation.

Such a wonderful video. Just a tiny reminder of what we could have had in the garden of Eden. Everything subject. This reminds me of the time I watched a wonderful display of a man with dolphins. I sobbed uncontrollably at the magnificent sight. I think it was just the magnificence of God`s creation.

TRUST IN THE ONE WHO RAISES THE DEAD
Posted On: 05/14/08 10:59:51 AM Age 64, OH
Matthew 24:21For then there will be GREAT DISTRESS,UNEQUALED FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD until now—and NEVER TO BE EQUALED AGAIN.(This has to be THE great tribulation) 22If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time.-- 27For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. -- 9"Immediately AFTER the distress of those days " 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' 30"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. -- So we can see here that Jesus told us the sure sign of His return. He would return right AFTER the great tribulation. How would anyone survive this Great Tribulation with out the help of The Lord Jesus. Turn to Jesus now and ask Him to help you seek Him and make Him number one in your life. Otherwise how will you survive a tribulation so terrible that even the elect would not survive without the help of the Lord Jesus Christ. Truly there is no hope for anyone except for the Lord Jesus Christ. Trust in the One who can raise the dead. Lou

The Trump Card
Posted On: 05/14/08 07:32:49 AM Age 61, MO
The trump card was played in AD 70. "And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of (by) the Gentiles, until the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled." (Luke 21:24). The time of the Gentiles will be fulfilled at the second coming of Christ. Anytime now. Like a thief in the night. George Cancilla
