Does Dobson Embrace Mormonism As Well?
Posted On: 04/30/08 11:26:28 AM Age 34, ID
I agree with your article and have found Dr. Dobson's unwillingness to EVER take a stand against false teaching to be very disturbing. Just this week I received Dr. Dobson's monthly newsletter in which he opens with a discussion of how he has become good friends with Glen Beck. I think Glen Beck is an interesting talk show host with many similar values to Christians, but he is a Mormon. We are not supposed to be friends with the world although we should witness to the lost. There was no mention in Dr. Dobson's letter about Glen Beck's Mormonism or how he needed to be saved. The implication was that they were brothers in the Lord working toward a common goal. I expect more will come out about this in the next few weeks. Keep up the good work and thank you for not compromising!

The disturbing Dobsons
Posted On: 04/30/08 09:07:19 AM Age 61, MO
It sounds like the Dobsons need to be more discerning. Their early agenda was morality for morality's sake alone; and not particularly a Scriptural or Gospel message. In the early days I can't recall anything "Focus on the Family" did that purveyed a false Gospel. I don't think James Dobson ever put himself up as a theologian. I do think that he has succumbed to the pressures of maintaining a large business which often entails not offending potential customers, and/or affliating himself with groups that would increase his customers. My family dismissed "Focus" many years ago because we realized that morality plays without explicit reference to Jesus Christ were useless. It is not enough to be pro life and pro family without also acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and Master of our lives. George Cancilla

I actually work at FOTF and the things I'm seeing happening here are extremely disturbing and yet I don't have any influence, other than prayer, to change the situation. Thank you, thank you, thank you for calling attention to this issue!

I have been a Christian counselor for 40 years. The point you are making very well, is the difference between secular counseling and Christian counseling. The secular concept is the same understanding Pastor Schuller has that being to raise one's self esteem, or put more trust in self. The Christian concept is to die to self (humility)( keep on keeping on )You are on the right tract brother Walt Mentzer

Open letter to the Dobsons
Posted On: 04/30/08 09:01:07 AM Age 65, TN
I used to watch a lot of Christian television but more and more it seems that a lot are leaving the true teachings of the bible to climb on the bandwagon with whatever sounds good to them at the time. The bible says that even if an angel from heaven comes teaching any other gospel than is taught in the bible for us to not believe or have anything to do with that teaching. What is happening to the supposedly God called ministers in America today. Are they truly being deceived by wolves in sheeps clothing. Jesus made no appologies for what God said and what God expects from us. Paul said I must decrease and He must increase. If we put ourselves in the servant mode that Jesus said we must be in to truly be what God wants us to be, we wouldn't be so concerned about our selves and pleasing ourselves. We would be more concerned about the lost and preventing them from spending all eternity in Hell. Do we still believe in Hell? I have had a lot of respect for Dr. Dobson in the past, but he has some explaining to do about this, in my opinion.

Dobson's fall...
Posted On: 04/30/08 08:58:52 AM Age 44, KY
Brother House, while I appreciate your passion to expose the emergent church, and your desire for NO one to be fooled by the lies of this movement, the Dobson's are not perfect and are fallible, just like anyone else. I know the Dobson's have gained a lot of notoriety and fame, but perhaps that is the very thing that is making them vunerable to this movement. When we loose sight of who we follow and give the messengers higher billing than the subject of the message, when it is never about the messenger, but rather the Message; which is supposed to be about the Savior/Messiah of the World, His Resurrection and the Salvation He offers, and the Word. When you trust any man, other than Yeshua Hammashiach, Himself, you will be disappointed every time, regardless of who they are, or how famous they are. You see the thing that you and most other seem to forget is, Dobson hasn't done one thing to further the Kingdom or the Glory of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, nor have they save one soul, but the Holy Trinity through the Dobson's has. But the Dobson's still have the ability to deny the Holy Trinity use of their bodies... especially when they start believing all the hype (lies) that THEY have do so much for the Kingdom! Most mortal men have a terrible time resisting pride and the love of power, of which the Dobson's have an extra large portion of both. When they start believing that they are essential to the Father's plan being completed, then they have succumb to pride and the fall is sure to follow shortly afterwards... and it appears they are falling off the pedestal that you and many others have put them on! Pray for the Dobson's and all those who have been deceived by this emergent church movement, and all those who worship the messengers more than our Father YHWH, Yeshua Hammashiach, and the Holy Spirit! Remember keep your eyes focused on the Messiah and submit completely to the will of the Father, pray without stopping and everything will take care of itself! May Father YHWH keep and bless you, may His continents shine up on you and yours! Mark

Brandon Thank you again for your exposure of the emergent church. As a long time supporter of FOTF I almost wrote them when you previously wrote about Mr. HB London's trip to Dr. Shuller's conference. I was concerned but decided to just pray and continue supporting his (Dr. Dobson's ministry). However, I just finished an email to his ministry asking that Dr. Dobson please resond to your statements. I beleive you are 100% correct in your assessment of the emergent church. Likewise, I too feel Dr. Shuller is a wolf in sheep's clothing and he is leading many to the pit of hell. Thank you brother for all you and your ministry do in the name of our only Savior and Lord Jesus Christ as expressed in the true Bible (the one written in the original languages by the Holy Spirit using men to be the conduit) and not these apostate dynamic equivalent "versions". Dr. Dobson and the Emergent Church

It is my understanding that the Dobsons are members of the Council for National Policy (CNP)along with Masons and other cult folks. The CNP (one world religion) is eguivalant to the CFR (one world government). That's the rest of the story.
