bias

Well, it is fairly obvious where your biases lie, and you seemed to make little attempt to understand syngerism. Synergism claims claims that spiritual truths cannot be comprehended, discovered, and realized until revelation is given to us by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. It DOES NOT claim that humans have the ability to discover the Good News on their own. God offers the Word and the Holy Spirit, and we respond to it. Repentance is still a gift because God needed to offer us the knowledge to repent in the first place, and we accept the gift. Gifts must be received as well as offered. Man cannot fully accomplish on their own because their sinful nature blinds them to truth. However, God unveils this blindness and gives us the knowledge of the Gospel, and we seal the deal or we reject the deal. I think it is silly for you to say that we don't choose grace when the bible implores us to repent as if we actually had a choice to do so. You also claim that God owes us nothing. I think it is entirely lacking justice for God to create a person, birth them into this sinful world (in which they had no choice in the matter), and they inherit the sinful nature of this world, and God doesn't choose them to be saved. That person made no choices in that whole process that incriminates them. Since they had NO choice in being birthed (forced) into a sinful nature, God's justice would demand that they be offered a chance. God cannot judge people for choices they didn't make. God judges people for rejecting His grace only if they are actually given a chance. -Dan Smith

Confusing

We are, in fact, spiritually dead until God brings us Light, and with Light, understanding. God must initiate our salvation. After He does this, we are left with the choice to respond: to surrender our natural free will to Christ. Once we are given God's information, we have the ability to accept or reject it. There in no unconditional election. The Acts 13:48 mentioned in the article is deceiving. From Studylight.org the word we translate "ordained," is neither προτεταγμενοι nor προορισμενοι which the apostle uses, but simply τεταγμενοι, which includes no idea of pre-ordination or pre-destination of any kind. And if it even did, it would be rather hazardous to say that all those who believed at this time were such as actually persevered unto the end, and were saved unto eternal life. The word has been considered here as implying the disposition or readiness of mind of several persons in the congregation, such as the religious proselytes mentioned Acts 13:43, who possessed the reverse of the disposition of those Jews who spake against those things, contradicting and blaspheming, Acts 13:45. Although God may know who or who will not receive Him, He forces no one to do so. There is no regeneration on the Adam side of the Cross. George Cancilla
