New Religion: Maybe spanking is akin to strapping bombs on our kids and sending them to the market. Maybe real love is kinds like a drug high where we feel no pain because we are in an altered state of consciousness. Maybe jesus is our friend who understands our guilt for driving SUV's, making our kids get good grades, breathing, using our BBQ's without carbon offsets.... Yea, I see it, a loving glorious new world of one religion, one economy, and tolerance. John

Typically, we see more and more neo-pagan thinking creep into "christianity". This is just one more example of how people can twist God's word to mean what they think is or isn't important. Hebrews 12 is clear that God spanks and that He is loving those that are his sons. We should be bold to stand up for our perfect religion in Jesus. Amen.

As director of a Christian Drug Rehabilitation Center I have the work of teaching men 18 and older the truth that they didn't learn as children. Dr. Spock and now Dr. Whitehurst guarantee that the job in this ministry is secure. "Don't train 'em, dope 'em" is the kinder, gentler parenting that causes such tragedy in our youth. My wife is a Special Education teacher in the public schools and sees the results of this "doctrine" even before I do. Parents, if you really love your children, you will follow biblical methods to instruct them or either my wife or I will have to.

Thank you for posting this - Eric has a way of approaching these sensitive subjects with a bold, objective and godly wisdom that is often lacking in the leadership of this nation.
It is vital that the doctrine of the P.C. be refuted, especially in this day when it seems that the church at large is rolling over in submission to a faulty humanistic worldview. Kudos!
