McCain is going to be on the Republican ticket

It is important that he choose a conservative evangelical. Make your argument about being unequally yoked if you need to, but I would definitely trust Mike Huckabee to be a Christian presence in the White House. He is not going to back off from his beliefs for anyone. I don't very often agree with Rush Limbaugh or Janet Folger but Huckabee is the running mate the Republicans are looking for.

- Okay, THREE peas in a pod...
| Posted On: 03/27/08 08:18:52 AM | | Age 51, GA | ...maybe four. Mike Huckabee is the epitomy of compromise. He is proud of his membership in a New Age cult (the Purpose Driven "church") which is based completely on compromise and tollerance of sin. They just pretty it up by calling it "Seeker-Friendly". The "Huckster" would accept McCains offer in a second. It wouldn't matter that McCain bears the fruit of a bleeding-heart liberal because he (McCain) "says" he's a "Christian". B. Hussein Obama and Mrs. Bill Blythe Clinton also claim to be "Christian". Maybe Mike should offer his services to them. Hukcabee is just as ego-driven and publicity-craving as the rest of them-he is just able to quote scripture and Will Rogers type phrases better than the rest. Thumping that bass guitar doesn't hurt either. The other half of the: "I think God's going to put a conservative Christian in the Whitehouse" crowd thinks that Ross Pero...sorry, Ron Paul is the savior of the Constitution. Mr. Paul thinks homosexuals are born with a gay gene (it's the pink one) and they should have special rights to allow for their "pride" shows. Don't look for ol' Ron to help you explain the perv' fest's to your babies, that's your responsibility. And you had better show some tollerance or you'll risk being arrested for committing a hate crime. Running a "strong" campaign on shoe-string budget doesn't prove that it's a God thing. This is NOT a "Christian nation" and it won't be evangelized by some smooth-talking politician. The obvious odds are that a liberal, Christian poser is going to be elected this year. If a true, uncompromising, bold, brave, praying, selfless, compassionate, repentant, truthful, born again man or woman of God is written in and elected without being destroyed in the proccess, THEN I'll know it's a God thing. I don't put my hope in temporal things and I try to teach my children to do the same. Repent, America! Click here to reply to this post

McCain has proven that a liberal can get the Republican nomination. Every decision the man has made has been to benefit libs. Do you expect the Romney-running mate decision to be the thing that stops McCain? Janet, you live in a dream world.

- Can you defend that statement?
| Posted On: 04/12/08 08:48:32 PM | | Age 52, GA | "Every decision the man has made has been to benefit libs." That sir is an outright lie, is it not? Senator McCain has made numerous decisions in his life, as we all have, both public and private. Are you willing to go back as far as when he refused the North Koreans offer to release him, to stay and support his fellow pow's? What about your own decisions sir, have they all been without blemish? Do you equate conservatism, with being sinless? None are righteous, and none are perfect conservatives. Senator McCain is still our best choice in this race. May I humbly suggest you chasten yourself, before making such broad accusations. By the way, I wholeheartedly support Janet's conclusions in her article. Romney has proven himself a rich fraud that tried to buy votes. I hope and pray McCain doesn't get swayed by his fat wallet. A good-natured populist like Huckabee would go a long way in attracting true social conservatives to vote for the ticket, because inspite of the attacks, none can really discredit him as a born again believer. May all praise honor and glory go to the Lord Jesus Christ, who will not be defeated! Porter. +++ Click here to reply to this post

John McCain is the epitome of everything that is wrong with most Americans; that is they are like Esau, and have sold their souls for a pottage of red meat. And like Esau, they are headed for hell in a handbasket. If Mike Huckabee were to share the presidential ticket with McCain, then what little is left of the Christian witness in America, will be the laughingstock of the world. I recommend reading Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt's article about McCain on this site. George Cancilla
