Thanks Janet, I totally agree 100% with what's happening. I work for a Christian radio with lot's of preaching, and so I and the rest of the staff here are on the frontlines of this contraversy and will be in the Cross hairs if/when this piece of legislation passes, as well as the so called "Fairness Doctrine"
Signed,

Immediately thrown out

This might get people riled up but come on Janet - it's only half the story. The Grandma case was immediately thrown out of court and labeled ridiculous. Let's not present partial truths just to be sensationalistic - we should be concerned - but not up in arms about this one.

- Immediately Thrown Out??
| Posted On: 03/12/08 06:18:50 PM | | Age 56, FL | Since it was thrown out it makes it OK to lock someone up like this? It does actually take time to be released after being handcuffed and booked and put in a cell with the criminal element until it actually gets thrown out. Somehow that just doesn't seem sensationalistic to me. There are also times when an officer can arrest someone fully knowing that it will be thrown out of court, but this person has to go through the whole experience plus having to hire a lawyer!! That would tend to deter one from the chance of being arrested just to exercise free speech wouldn't it? I just can't believe anyone would criticize this article on that basis! This is only one step away from the actual criminalization of speech and if you prefer to live in denial you likely will have a shock coming. But, I think most visitors here realize that things will be getting much worse before the Lord returns. But that doesn't relieve us from a responsibility to speak up and be heard as evil advances. - You're only one activist Judge away
| Posted On: 03/10/08 04:58:24 PM | | Age 45, KY | from having the full force of this law being applied just as Janet alludes to. If it had been a judge bent on promoting the homosexual agenda who heard this case, it could easily have gone the other way, with only an appeal keeping their hopes to remain free alive. Case in point, it only took three judges in CA to put homeschooling on the proverbial chopping block. If the State Supreme Court upholds their ruling, home schooling is in serious trouble and so are those who do it. Click here to reply to this post
Hate Crimes?

What is it all about? It's about the forces of evil in the last days coming face-to-face before the "True" God revealing Himself in the clouds of Glory. I understand that all these events of persecution are terrible indeed. But the very fact that these people other-than-Christians are going out of their way to make things hard for Christians; only proves they are on the losing team and mad about it. Jesus is the ruler and score keeper of this war. Servants of Christ Jesus, rise up and speak your mind, the mind of Christ. Use the Holy Bible, your testimony and prayers as a weapon against the strongholds of the evil one. We are already victorious wins. Rejoice! Amen. and Amen.

Servants or Self Serving?

Most of the governing bodies in the U.S., and especially the Federal government, have ceased to be a servant of the citizens. The purpose of hate crime legislation feigns to protect minority rights, but really is designed to protect the governing bodies who have chosen to put themselves more and more above the law. The violent radicalisation and homegrown terrorism law is similar, in that it feigns government protection, but really seeks to have more government control. The fairness doctrine is yet another legislation that seeks anything but fairness, but certainly more control. All of this legislation is a blatant violation of the first ammendment right of freedom of speech. The fact the courts have been delinquent in allowing this legislation to stand (even without a case being brought before them), indicates their complicity in violating the Constitutional rule of law. Our governing bodies have become self serving rather than servants. George Cancilla
