Rob Bell on borrowed time.

In a certain sense, God has ordained that men like Rob Bell rise up for a time to deceive those who refuse to hear sound teaching. I am terrified for Rob Bell and his ilk if they refuse to repent. In no way are they gaining ground on the Almighty. He marked them out long ago for condemnation (Jude 4.) We may take comfort in the knowledge that God knows how to keep his own... every single one.

Christian Yoga?

It used to be the most widely used oxymoron floating around "christian" circles was the term catholic christian. Now we see terms such as christian yoga. What next? Mormon christian? Bhuddist christian? To be "Christian" the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ must be believed and obeyed. Those who would attempt to mix the pure Word of God with false doctrines need to be identified and exposed. They are pulling the Body of Christ into the Apostate Church. Whether it is Rob Bell, Charles Colson, Rick Warren, whoever. The Word of God is a two edged sword. It cuts to reveal the truth and it cuts to reveal what isn't the truth, in other words: lies! The church is susceptible to a great deal of deception these days because of a generation of not preaching the full counsel of God's Word. Proclaiming the Gospel without denouncing false doctrine, as the Apostles did.

New Age

It sounded pretty good until it got near the end, then it was ALL new age. It sounded like he was trying to take God out of life, to make him unimportant and make the breath we take more than. That it's all about breathing. With all the Hebrew he knows, he has misread everything in the word of God. I can't even wrap my mind around this, nor do I want to.

- We don't ignore because he is influencing millions
| Posted On: 03/07/08 09:46:39 AM | | Age 41, WI | Rob Bell's Nooma videos from Zondervan have infiltrated nearly every evangelical church in the country. Young people are particularly drawn to him. Bell promotes the writings of New Age leader Ken Wilber, whose site is not only filled with Satanic lies but is also pornographic. In Velvet Elvis, Bell recommends readers "take three months" and read Wilber's "A Theory of Everything". Bell attacks Scripture and calls it a "human product" and the list goes on and on. He is hugely popular and his false teaching is misleading countless numbers of young people who are not grounded in the Word of God. That's why we don't ignore him. Click here to reply to this post
- I stand corrected

- If only Bell would be so humble
| Posted On: 03/11/08 12:27:30 PM | | Age 53, IL | I did see you point though.
If only, at the beginning of an apparent false teachers 'ministry' they were ignored by the book publishers and those who organize conferences, and the churches who sign up guest speakers things would be different. But these people obviously lack Biblical discernment.
But, I also see that the false teachers are allowed by God to test those who say they follow Jesus. The Lord wants the sheep to take the opportunity to cling to His truth and to Him.
We don't know the voice of the stranger.
So, His sheep ignore the Bell's.
But, the tares/goats are revealing who they follow. Click here to reply to this post
