Freedom of Speech

I am amazed at the ability of some to twist the meaning of this all important right. The freedom was not intended for the proliferation of filth but rather a safeguard for the people against tyranny by those in power. The Forefathers were cognizant of the fact that power corrupts and therefore added the ammendments of Free Speech, Freedom of assembly, and the Free excercise of religeon which were by the way assured by the Second ammendment whereby some power remained at the hands of the people against corrupt and tyrannical leaders. The rights we have came from God and a just governments role is to provide an environment conducive to the benefit of all it's people and this includes the enactment and enforcement of laws to protect the innocent. Pornographers are not included among the innocent!!!!

Where the Spirit of Christ is there is freedom. I believe in freedom. But it is ridiculous to think we should have the freedom to harm the innocent. Should we have the freedom to murder and steal the property of others. When speech harms the innocent it should not be tolerated. Lou

how can any sane person justify not putting a stop to pornography and yet do not think the people should have the right to freely use whatever drug they so please. The laws need to be enforced. Lou
