Europe may well evolve into the evil Empire as you say but currently, it is not Europe who is bombing the world into submission while spouting the same propaganda of liberation the Communists did before us.

Friend: You need to expand your reading to other than far left rags because you have become very errant in your thoughts. I find it interesting that you here and in other posts rant on the US as an evil empire and have yet to mention real evil. You have yet to blame Hitler for Nazi Germany, Stalin for the Gulags, Saddam for oppression, or Kim Jong Il for his many horrible crimes against humanity.
You seem to think that pasifism is next to godliness, yet fail to consider that it enables evil to proliferate. Friend, Europe is extremely secular agnostic and yet you think they are closer to God than America who liberates and enables democracies. Why can't we all just get along and love one another? I don't know, pride, ego...we humans aren't full of that are we? John

You just LOVE to talk about Hitler, well, the so called Allies created Hitler. The treaty Of Versales turned all of Germany into a giant concentration camp. Lets see how YOU would vote when you have a choice between the Communists, the Nazis, or the reactionaries who can only offer more 1000% inflation, rampant crime, and 65% unemployment. Europe created Hitler, Europe deserved Hilter. As far as Stalin is concerned, once again the Allies suppoerted him. The Allies handid him all of Eastern Europe. Many of the Jews YOU boast about of saving were driven from the concentration camps into Soviet Gulags at bayonet point by our very own troops.
And spare the "Save tyhe Jews" part of WW2.
FDR personally was quoted as saying "This war has nothiong to do with the Jews" He even privatly expressed anger at so many Jews having survived in spite of given the Nazis more than enough time to finish the job. All is not as it seams.
You love to talk about Saddam but is allowing our kids to use drugs, have free sex, join gangs, and shoot up our schools a viable alternative. You talk of freedom as you seek to bomb the world into our godless decadence. If that is not the mark of an evil empire, I don't know what is. Being a 26 year veteran, I am hardly a pacifist. Once again, you assume tha everybody who opposes our gospel of bombs & bullets is a liberal. One who calls for war while sitting safely at home sending other to dies are the most disgusting of all. If YOU are so much for this war Get in uniform and get over there! I can tell you that once you yourself have tasted battle, you too will not be so eager to call for war.

Europe?

13 years in the Submarine force and two deployments to Europe converted me into the beliefe that the isolationists were right. Europe is doing through economics what Hilter, Napoleon, and other previous rulers tried to accomplish through military conquest. Our involvment in both world wars only served to change which nation would lead the European Union and postpone the inevitable. The words of George Washington are more relavent today than they ever were:
"We are not Europe! Stay out of European affairs!"
