GOD MADE HIMSELF NOTHING

The cross was not only an offense for them to consider it happening to themselves; but it was also an offense to think that God would humble himself to death and then the humiliating criminals death naked and in public on a cross. This is what the pharisees could not accept. The same thing is true of the church today. I see people state that God is not humble. Or that everything God does is to gain glory. There was no glory in the death on the cross. the glory was in the fact that the Most High God would be willing and be so humble to do such a thing for our benefit. Lou

Wearing or Bearing the Cross

Satan has very cleverly removed the "offense" of the cross. Rock stars and Hollywood celebrities wear crosses as part of their "bling." Yet, they are blatantly opposed to the things of God and the wrath of God that the cross represents. The cross has become an ubiquitous piece of jewelry that even pagans wear. The Church has played right along with removing the "offense" by preaching a gospel devoid of the law and a God who will pour out his wrath on the unbelieving world. Here's how convoluted it has become: "If you are a celebrity wearing a cross it is considered fashionable, if you are from a small town in the south and you wear a cross you are a Bible believing bigot.

Following are my own thoughts: There has been an agenda to eleminate the strong convictions of the bible that the white race in the south have always stood strong for. The fact that the south is called the bible belt is a tip off that the rest of the nation does not have the same convictions the south has had. To mention two preachers that has let known their hated of southern white men is Mark Chironna and Earl Paulk. Of course they are not the only one's out there. I have heard them on christian tv, spewing out their hatred concerning white men in the south. Calling them stupid, and making suggestions the southern white man is the problem, in this nation, especially in christianity. I don't understand why the white christians cannot see the attack to commit genocide of the white christian and race. Pure hatred toward the white christians runs deep within christianity. I do realize you did not mention in your post anything concerning the white race and I do not want it taken that I am implying you meant such. Click here to reply to this post
- It's the world versus Jesus
| Posted On: 12/29/07 08:20:32 AM | | Age 53, VA | I was simply making a distinction between those who hate Jesus and mock him by wearing a cross, are considered by our society as being "acceptable" and those who love Jesus and wear a cross, are considered by our society as being "unacceptable." It's not black versus white or north verses south. It's the world verses Jesus.
John 15:18-19
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Click here to reply to this post

Bob, I do not understand how you can say the crucifixion was so horrifying to jews, but yet they wanted and demanded for Jesus to be crusified? I also would like to know if through your studies you have ran across enough evidence to raise the question, of Jesus having Roman Citizenship?

The Cross...

A very interesting and informative article, brother DeWaay. While I have some reservations about your conclusion about what is meant by taken up your Cross daily - in my studies I understand it means to profess death to one's self and submission to the will of Father YHWH; Living one's life by the Life of Another! Your concluding comments, however are right on. WE DO NOT SAVE ANYONE! Only the Father YHWH calls them, and ONLY Yahushua Hammashiach SAVES them! Our task is only to preach/teach the Gospels, as well as to witness to His works in our lives, as far as reaching the unredeemed goes. If you don't believe me, then find in the Bible where the Savior or the Father instructs us to go out and "Save" anyone. Of course we are to worship and pray, and love the brethren, but that is not part of what the "Great commission" as referred to at the end of Matthew. Some Charismatics would argue that we are to go and demonstrate the spiritual gifts and cast out demons, but that is a subject for another discussion (and yes, I do in the spiritual gifts and casting out demons). We are called to live a life reflective of a live focused on submission to the will of the Father YHWH, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit, and denying one's self. It is that example of how we live with respect to the Holy Trinity, that evangelizes the loudest and best, to the unredeemed around us, or who we interact with on a daily basis. Many a Christian have finally answered the call of the Father YHWH, as a result of watching the Holy Trinity's works in someone they know lives and how they submitted to it, all without the person having ever directly preach once to that unredeemed person.
Anyway, Good article! All Glory to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!!! Mark
