Hitler considered the children to belong to the COMMUNITY of the state. So he felt he had the right to take the states children from their parents. This is very much like Hillary's concept of IT TAKES A VILLAGE. Hillary thinks the children are the property of the community and not the parents. I was taken to court years ago for home schooling my son. I was a teacher at the time in the local public High School. The high school was doing such a poor job my son asked me to home school him and i did. They tried to put me in jail for it. If they had been successful they would have taken my children from me. What is happening in Germany will be in this nation soon. Lou

I have been aware of the German home school problem for almost one year, because of my involvement with the Home School Legal Defense Association. I am sympathetic with the plight of those families, and am aware that a similar situation could easily raise its ugly head here in the United States. It is hard enough to petition our representatives in government to not turn their backs on their own constituents, but I would suggesst that as many as are inclined, to petition their representatives to make a diplomatic stand to pressure the German government to cease and desist from interference in family's who wish to home school. It certainly does not take a village--secular or religious. It takes strong families--preferably those committed to Christ. George Cancilla
