The writer has taken a sound bite answer, without apparently researching the real issue Gov. Huckabee was trying to handle. Then the writer has decided to continue his unfounded criticism by harping on other unrelated issues, that were boiled down to basically meaningless soundbite answers. In the spirit of the season how about trying to find something positive say? ...especially about one of the better candidates in the field, at least as far as values voters are concerned.

I find it disgusting that on a Christian website, in an article written by a Christian, the issue of torture is relegated to being a "liberal" issue. You may think it is manly to inflict pain on a helpless individual but it is certainly not Christ-like. Please show me in scripture where even in concept the use of torture would be pleasing to God. Could you honestly pray and ask God for the grace and wisdom and strength to torture someone? I would honestly like to know where in the Bible it says that it is OK to torture someone. If it is OK for someone else to torture, then it most certainly would be great if you yourself did it.

It is the evangelical spirit of organized religion that wants to plunge into every corner of our private lives-- indeed, into every corner of the world, however remote, to “improve” it. It is an attempt to “improve” upon God, motivated by the same rebellion that inspires Satan. Many of these evangelical “value voters” are incapable of minding their own business. They support the invasion of other nations for their own good to impose a form of government the natives don’t want, and apparently care not how many of our own men are killed and maimed in the process. They effectively pervert the Christianity in which they claim to believe. Many of these organized evangelicals who represent Churchianity rather than Christianity, are as fanatical as the jihadists they oppose. As they support further destruction in Iran, they will most likely resurrect the military draft, including women, which will further destroy the family and collapse our civilization on the way to world government, which is their man made version of the Kingdom. Is it coincidental that much of the new-fangled organized Churchianity founded to “improve” the original Bible message, also saw the beginning of the Communist horror that also claims to do a better job in the Kingdom than God? More and more Christian parents are joining an Exodus from the Communist government schools. Celebrity Christian leaders should either find other work or return to the church and start worshipping Jesus and defending our inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
