The two party system in U.S. politics was a hoax perpetrated on the people from its inception. The only thing it fascillitates is corruption by allowing wealth to dominate the government. Issues are too broad and varied to be conveniently grouped into two parts. Candidates for public offices should be chosen according to their integrity, moral terpitude, and adherance to the Constitution. George Cancilla

    Amen. We desperately need third, fourth, and fifth parties in this country, so that people are forced to work together. And to the author: We live in a democratic republic. Communist China is also a republic -- that doesn't necessarily mean anything about the moral high-ground of a republic. Democracies and republics can both be God-fearing, or God-hating.
