Websters Collegiate Dictionary describes heresy as: 1. a religious belief opposed to the orthodox doctrines of a church esp., such a belief specifically denounced by the church. 2. any opinion opposed to official or established views or doctrines.
Heretic - a person who professes a heresy; esp., a church member who holds beliefs opposed to church dogma.
At a recent denominational meeting a Christian leader stated unequivocally, “ I can tell you very candidly as long as God allows me to stay in this position I will never lead our staff and I will never lead our state Board of Missions to develop an exit strategy from public school education.”
I consider this a heretical statement in light of the numerous scriptural passages such as Deut. 6:4-9 instructing us to raise children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Giving Christian parents permission to place their child in an antichristian educational institution is nowhere to be found in scripture.
This is not a minor theological issue. According to the Council on Family Life study, we’re losing 88% of our children to the world. That is the optimistic study. Christian researcher, George Barna says we’re losing 96%. It equates to losing 9,000/children/day/365 days/yr to the world due primarily to the antichristian education we place our children under. This is nearly three times the number of children being murdered by abortionists.

Heretic...
Definite moving away from defined biblical teaching and an embracing of new age theology

Heresy: Todd, stop being so continually afraid to apply this word to heretics (simply, false teachers). Pagitt is leading non-believers to hell by steering them away from the Way, the Truth and the Life (Jesus Christ alone).
