you are exaclty right ray. to preach the truth of JESUS CHRIST today in our culture as you have pointed out is like shining the brass on a sinking ship. God told us the way it would be in the last days in I.TIM &
II TIM. as discouraging as it is we are right on target.stay at it man. that is what we are responsible for. we cant control what people do or dont do.our success thankfully doesnt depend on what people decide. GOD said his word would not return void. that he would do with it as he saw fit. thanks fellow soldier rob

The article is sadly right on target. I was brought up with the "fast food" mentality, but have earnestly tried to acknowledge Christ in all things, that He might direct my paths. It has been working to free me from the mammon mentality. John the Baptist testified of Jesus: "He must increase, but I must decrease." (John 3:30). George Cancilla

WHO LISTENED TO JEREMIAH

AMEN, AMEN ! I don't think many will listen to this dear brother. But it makes no difference if they listen or not. For you have pleased the One who shed His blood for you and for me. Jeremiah preached and no one repented ! But Jeremiah was not trying to please men but God who created men. If a man writes an article and NOT ONE PERSON reads it; all is not lost IF the article has been written by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was and is a Man of sorrows. His eyes search throughout the whole earth looking for ONE MAN WHO TREMBLES AT HIS WORD. If I preach and the whole world seems to repent but He is NOT pleased with my preaching then all is lost. But if I preach and not one person even hears my voice but the One who died and now is alive is pleased with my preaching then all is gain. Lou

Ray: Dude, you nailed it!
Good Job.
However, do you have any advise for a church that focuses on fulfillment instead of giving? It's not a simple fix because we are not only fighting superficial congregates, we are fighting the culture. Most established "christians" will find other churches to tickle their ears, and new christians usually do not come to Christ without deep debt and emotional baggage.
Thus, the church that is changing from fulfillment to servitude is left with 10% of the congregates doing 90% of the work and of the giving. This is a substantial burden that leaves many stressed and the church without funds. John
