I am extremely offended by:
1. Unelected officials decideding what is and is not Constitutional.
2. The complete disrespect for the taxpayer by Washington spend-o-crats.
3. The presumption that the Federal Government has a mandate to take away one man's property and give it to another. It's insulting that this is called taxation and entitlements. When am I entitled to keep what I have earned?
4. I am offended that the Federal Government has not protected our borders from foreign invasion.
5. I am offended that the Federal Judiciary declares the Constitutionality of things that are not even mentioned in the Constitution.
6. I am offended that the Federal Judiciary looks to other countries for guidance our what should be legal in the USA.
7. I am offended that Democrats have tried to sensor the free speach rights of Rush Limbaugh.
8. I am offended that Democrats declare the guilt of our soldiers before any trial is held.
9. I am offended that Democrats think that health care is a civil right and a resource that should be given away.
I am not offended that an elected official would honor a citizen with a flag and in doing so would envoke God.

Just another nail in the coffin of the USA, judgement can not be averted there or in Uk. God no longer welcome in any part of our society, so why do the Christians stay
silent. Loadicea would be a good description or maybe Sodom and Gomorrah. Nineveh repented when the prophet went there, Christians today do not know how to repent. Marantha Lord Jesus

So what happens now? Do we just let this go? Or do we take this religious dissentor to task, legally? Surely we can't let this lie!!

Actually, the truth is that both religious and political comments are not permitted. The certificates are meant to honor a person or organization - not make a statement about their political or religious beliefs. That is the nature of the certificate. I don't see this as being such a big deal.

I'm not surprised. You? Every single day the rights of Christians in America are being challenged, and many times those challenges prevail against the religious freedom that lies at the very root of this country's existence.
The fact that Stephen Ayers has established a temporary fifedom and is able to dictate his personal religious bent only supports the trend of hypocracy being practiced by those who would prefer a freedom from religion rather than accept the freedom of religious expression we are supposedly guaranteed.
Thank you Congresswoman Musgrave! Thank you for standing in the gap for we of the "silenced" majority.
I followed the article's link to the congresswoman's website, and wrote her a personal letter of support and gratitude.
We should all at least acknowledge those in elected office who are fighting the good fight every day on our behalf!

Ayers needs to be told that he has overstepped his authority and to undo his decision. If he won't he needs to be moved to a job where he is better supervised.

Quick and simple solution. (1)Terminate Stephen Ayers employment. (2)Remove his censorship guidelines. Done deal!

Good for her. It is awsome to see and hear that people do care about our country, and not just what they see is offending to them or other people. I'm on God's side. People don't want to offend Americans, well what do you call this. What Americans are they talking about? We are suppose to Land of the Free and Home of the Brave well what kind of Freedom is this.?
