WHERE oh WHERE is our press on this issue?? Do they not think that this will affect them at some point in the not too distant future?? This is the kind of legislation we get with representatives elected by the people. IT IS TIME FOR A 21ST CENTURY TEA PARTY!

Listen, it is really simple. This is a direct attack on our first American right which is to speak freely about whatever I want and however I want and to whomever I want. If someone hearing something I have to say goes and breaks a law by inflicting physical harm on someone or something then they should be punished, nevertheless, as Americans we have fundamental inalienable rights that our nation was founded upon. A law that violates these foundational rights is simply not enforceable and there should be a very large movement by all attorneys and politicians to protect these rights.

Everyone has probably heard the saying: "You can't legislate morality." It may be trite, but it is true. There is no particular scriptural passage that says this, but the overall Bible purveys that message. Even Romans chapter 13 only gives a civil authority to enforce God's laws--not legislate them. They have been permanently legislated by God. Morality is ultimately a matter of the heart, although there are often worldly consequences. Any government that makes up extra Biblical laws is anti Christian. Christians may soon find themselves up against the wall in speaking out against sinful behavior, just as Saint Stephen did years ago as recorded by the Book of Acts. George Cancilla

Wow, tacking it on to the funding bill? Pretty under-handed.

I agree--this legislation is dangerous. It's also unfair. Please, everybody, call your senators!
