Christianity made illegal? We all know that it would not be the first time or last time Christians have been discriminated against, imprisoned, tortured, and killed. We also should be broken hearted that the last time is yet to be when Christians will have used their beliefs to discriminate, imprison, torture, and kill.
Whether it becomes against the law to say what the Bible teaches or even to be Christian, here is the dilemma. For the Kingdom in which Jesus is Lord what are the circumstances where our citizenship does the most for His Kingdom? In which time is it better for us to be faithful believers? The answer is too simple: it does not matter. The Lord is sovereign and we are His to use for His purpose. If we suffer it is for His glory. If we rule it is for His glory.
If the time is coming for evil to dominate and for the faithful in American to suffer, to God will be the glory. If the time is coming where America becomes the greatest influence for the Gospel of Jesus, to God be the glory. old glen

Very nice. Kindergarden bully rules still work until exposed. Standing up the the gay adjeda is like fighting the war on terror. We are tired of being pushed around for what we believe in. I had 12 pages of harmony matches. All wonderfull women.

Good article Mrs Folger. It's interesting that our government has a policy of not negotiating with terrorists but it seems in the private sector it's standard operating procedure. Even in every church I've ever been to there is an underlying fear of unsolicited accountability because someone might become offended and leave the church.
Liberalism seems to have a "prime directive" to never offend anyone. With that as a foundational principle laws become confusing and contradictory. That fact is you can't not offend anyone. Since when did it become the world's responsibility to find this woman a friend? I hope eHarmony stands firm.

It's time to put the APA story to rest. Yes, the 1973 decision was controversial, and it was preceded (specifically in 1971) with protests at the APA meeting ... but that was 34 years ago, and if the APA believed that the wrong decision was made in 1973, it would have been overturned long ago.
The reality is just the opposite. A referendum in 1974 to overturn the 1973 decision failed. The last entry in the DSM relating homosexuality to illness ("Ego-dystonic Homosexuality") was removed in 1987. In 1998, the APA hosted an event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 1973 decision.
There is no serious academic organization in disagreement with the current APA position. For details or more information, you can check http://www.apa.org/topics/orientation.html or http://www.apa.org/pi/reslgbc.html.

Thanks for the article and the insight on the politics of hate, fear, intimidation, and the manipulation of 'scientific' consensus. Amazingly insightful.
Now to prayer for the God of heaven to help us love the fellow sinners and hate and repent of the sin, and to the phones to stop Congress from fixing problems that exist but not the ones they are addressing. But rather the problems are actually in the opposite polarity.
Will any listen? "Unless the LORD builds the house...they labor in vain..." Ah but we are called to be faithful. Not just having faithful 'feelings' but faith's obedience. God bless and protect you for writing such, Janet.

Thanks for having the courage to tell the truth! I am so tired of political correctness run amock. The gay activists are bullies, and they're preaching their "gospel" over the airways constantly. If you don't go along with it, you're "intolerant." Thanks for presenting the other side!

This article was definitely more thoughtful than I first assumed. I appreciate your stance but I must say I do believe the Christian mentality of being able to restructure and reform is being stifled by fear and hatred.
There have been more than 30 years between 1974 and today and in that time a new generation of lost souls have come to accept homosexuality as something unchangeable. Something they were born with, but not a birth defect. Do we as Christians even see the potential there to hold others accountable for such a broad misdiagnosis?
In a land where God has given us power to do the impossible we cannot even look past ourselves to see the tools he's given us to defeat the foe of sin.
Thank you for this wonderful article, hopefully remembrances past will help us to reframe our future.

| Posted On: 06/12/07 09:55:05 AM | | Age 29, KS | You misread what I said, and the fact that you skipped the meaning behind my words and went directly into defensive mode proves my words to be true now more than ever.
I have no doubts that the Bible renounces sodomy in its forms. In fact I've studied it extensively.
This world has gotten so selfish, and so into obtaining our own personal needs, that we are now willing to attribute the cause of homosexuality to a birth defect so as to deflect the responsibility of choice.
To be so ingrained in sin that you would rather blame the perfect design of our Father, than accept responsibility for your actions is a sad state indeed.
I believe that in regards to homosexuality Christians need the focus of having the sinner reclaim accountability.
To loop this around to the original point of the article, I will say that comparing homosexuals to paedofiles and the like will do nothing but cause homosexuals to do more to separate themselves. But to tell a homosexual that the same control they refuse to place in the hands of our Lord is the same control they have already given to the Devil will cause them to look within.
God gave us the gift of choice, but also the power to know when to use it. Click here to reply to this post

This subject makes me so angry! When will the world wake up and realize it all has to do with Christ? Everything is acceptable in society except Christianity. People have been so deceived by the enemy. It makes one long for the Lord to come and take us home.
But it also helps us to realize that there is a lot of work to be done, a lot of praying to be done.

First of all, I want to thank God for people like Janet Folger, that speak out and give us the information that is out there. I agree with her. Also I would like to say that the homosexal agenda has gone too far in judicial system as well as in our political arena. I believe that, when the bible and prayer were taken out of the schools was the begining of the promblems we now have with homosexuality, and child molestation and the rest. We must continue to take a stand lest we loose all our freedoms as Christians. It's bad enough that parents are afraid to disicipline their children, so that they know right from wrong. We are all taught tolerence from the time we are born, that no matter how you live it's, OKAY. It's a sickness that needs to be addressed in the medical field as well as politically.
Our prayer is that God would change the hearts of men and women that are living this way, so that they may see their error. God bless America. Thanks.

679 views so far and still no responses? I certainly hope the readers aren't already intimidated beyond a response.
Well, Janet Folger, I'm right with you and fed up with the tactics and the promotion of a clearly identified detestable and sinful so-called "lifestyle." And to think Christians have been labelled in the same camp as the Taliban!!?? WAKE UP!!
