Well said. I was very glad to hear that Mrs. Gould took the intiative to go public in that way, such a gesture deserves great respect from the Christian community. I wonder if tracks responses to her response, and what she might think of this. I am glad she's alive and evidently vigorous and pray God's mercy be upon her.
On the subject of the social implications of Darwin, there's a super article in this month's COMMONWEAL, available online, regarding the myth of the gentler side of Darwinisml, citing some valuable historical primary sources. Worth several readings.

I have a friend of mine who recently has come to Christ. I often pick at him about his former life by calling him an atheist. Hs response is, "NO! NO! I was an agnostic; not an atheist." I then say, "Both would have sent you to hell." Then I just grin, and he agrees.
