My husband and I have both undergone Theophostic Ministry, taken and completed the classes, graduated, and have used it to minister to others and help others.
God says the truth will be confirmed between two and three witnesses. I had traumatic events in my life. I forgave, and forgave, and forgave, but that wasn't enough, the torment continued. I prayed for God to show me what the basis was for my ongoing torment.
God showed me the exact same proceedure that Theophostics Ministry uses. God says the truth will be established between two and three witnesses. I used it on myself before I ever heard of anything called Theophostic Ministry. It is powerful, effective, thorough, and most importantly, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are glorified, as they are all solely, completely, and actively involved in the healing process. We never use any sort of suggestions to lead anyone into any memories, nor tell them what to think, nor how to process any memories. The Holy Spirit functions as He wills, and the results are astounding.
I am eternally grateful for Dr. Ed Smith for making this powerful healing process known to so many others. His credentials give it the validity that people will listen to.
Theophostics is done through the power of the Holy Spirit, and now, I am very thankful it is known to so many others.
Jesus said, "Greater things than these will you do because I go to the Father." I consider this one of those "greater things." What is so hard to believe about that!?
It is a very sad thing that you are standing in the way of the Holys Sprit working in people's lives.
With the wicked times we are living, so many have been victimized, and God has provided the means by which He is helping people. God Be Praised!!!

- Theophostic is too close to divination for me
| Posted On: 12/21/07 11:19:32 PM | | Age 29, IL | I can appreciate the previous poster's heart to help hurting people, but it appears as if she is appealing to emotions and whether something "works" or not, instead of scripture. Scripture clearly prohibits divination, sorcery etc. and I think theophostic "ministry" comes way too close to new age mysticism, which makes me uncomfortable. I think we are better off erring on the side of caution. After all, psychics and fortune tellers also claim their ways "work." Click here to reply to this post

I completely agree with Bob! I sought this type of counseling and was in it for years before the Lord revealed to me that my pain was simply SIN and only sin. Yes, I had some memories that I would have preferred were happier ones but that is a part of our sinful nature. Once I repented, not only was my depression cured but two years later I am now off of all antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds! AND, I AM HAPPY! My past no longer controls me.

I went through a Theophostics course 9 years ago. It seemed to offer instant psychological healing and was presented as "biblical." Then we learned that it might take multiple sessions to deal with each individual "lie" in the sufferers past. So now it's not so instant any more. We were also taught that Jesus must personally reveal the "lie" in order to gain relief. Jesus would appear through visualization and present the truth that would set the sufferer free. It was acknowleged that Satan could mascarade as Jesus, so the counselor would have to help the sufferer make sure they were visualizing the right Jesus. One of the tests was that the right Jesus would have blue eyes. Hmmm??? Well it wasn't long after that that I realized that Theophostics is nothing more than christian voodoo without the chicken bones. Get Theophositics out of your church and get back to the Bible!
