Historically and theosophically, they are talking about the 17th century cross-cultural syncretism between the Zohar or "Book of Splendor" and the Gennesis account relating to "Adam Kadmon" and "Sophia". I sent you enough info on this subject of Christian Kabbalah that you surely can respond intelligently by identifying the sources. I went further back and pinned this stuff down to a small group of Renaissance-era Europeans involved in a gnostic kabbalah-based version of the reformation.
Both the feminist/lesbian wiccans and the New Age Movement are pulling from the same "Magical View" cistern.
There is no excuse to play merry-go-round with this particular heresy. State the historical foundations and expose these people for recycling and plagiarizing Kabbalah/Zohar heresy because if you don't at this point in time, then you can just see they are making you waste time. For Groothius to suggest that Adam's pre-fall nature was androgynous is straight out of the Christian Kabbalah texts written by
