Thank you for such a moving article that challenged me to examine myself. In our desire to please God,I believe we should be compelled to ask ourselves are we being insensitive to the needs of others, indifferent, ineffective, unforgiving, unloving, unmoved, and self-righteous. Are we compromising God's word by not living in the light, by professing a truth it does not obey. Thank you for the challenge Shane. One day, I hope to hear the Lord say"Well done, my good and faithful servant.

Shane you are spot on. I listened to a discussion rationalising compromise at our Church the other day. It became obviouse that it is easier make excuses than not allow the Church to be compromised by the worlds moral standards.
thanks for the article

Amen brother! Enough with the worldly things in the church buildings! Preach the holiness and righteous of God and the total depravity of man and then you will have revival! Show sin as being utterly sinful by just reading Romans 1-3 and expounding on the 10 commandments! Read all of Jesus words about weeping, wailing, knashing of teeth, the fire that never goes out and that ALL deserve nothing less than that horrible punishment and they will flee to the cross! I can't wait to see your columns following up on this article.
