I've often wondered why Scripture leaves out the United States in events of the endtimes. This plan of forming a NAU could be the reason. With two mostly socialist countries on either side of us moderating our historical independence from foreign domination, this plan would cause us to be the "by mouth only" political force that would encourage the EU and others to smash Israel with little resistance. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

The New World order has a plan. We are seeing the formation of the goverment of the Anti-Christ. The US-MEXICO-CANADIAN partership
will mirror the EU. It is a good time to ensure that your calling and election is true. Because probably when the selected world economic regions are established then we can expect a drive to standardize World Regions. This may result in the beheading of many believers of Christ.

The only error for your comment is that Jesus will have returned for His true church before all those martyred ("beheadings") Christians occurs...which is during the Tribulation Period. That will be in the second half (3.5 yrs) of the 7 year rule of the Anti-Christ by Satan.

Most of your stated eschatology cannot be found in any of my Bibles with the exception of the Scofield notes in his study Bible.
1. Being aware of just the vast numbers of believers beheaded down through the ages would lead me to believe that Jesus hasnt a plan to remove any great number of believers from persecution. If our accounting is correct, there have more Christian martyrs in the 20th century than in any other.
2. The only two scriptures using the term antichrist is 1 John 2 and 2 John 7. The term antichrist, we are told by John, are any who have come out from the believers denying the Father and the Son or Christ in the flesh. The meaning seems to be denying that Jesus is God.
3. There is not a single piece of scriptural support to connect the term antichrist with the 490 years of Daniel 9 or any other place in scripture as a title or proper name.
4. There is not a single piece of scriptural support to suppose the 490 years of Daniel were not consecutive or that there is a 2000 year gap after 482nd year.
Imposing any of your assumptions on scripture would require a new divine revelation. Reading the Bible rather than prophecy books designed around false paradigms might help ones biblical understanding. Study faithfully and be humble to the Spirits illumination. Old Glen gboydsmith@sbcglobal.net

Good comment Sir. Also the actual article should encourage us all be "wiley as serpents.." That is, those of us who do no hide behind the skirts of a convenient prophesy-theory. Most of us, most of the time are raising our kids in the Lord, going to a Church where we study Scripture (preferably the KJV for reasons I will not discuss here), and pushing towards living a Godly and Right life. It is funny how many of us forget that the Lord God of Heaven and Earth is way ahead in our future looking back. His Word has stated and relesed the items we should know about from that perspective. Not in uncertain terms, but very clearly stated.
The Lord also allows us a hand in determining some of our own history I am sure, since He loves created endeavor and guides so many of our "discoveries". We love our child's first drawing, when we can actually recognise it from the previously scrawled blobs. How much more would our Fantastically Loving Father in Heaven love and applaud our stumbling creations. However, we have this dumb habit of being like SHEEP. So we do need a few limitaions and a lot of leading. Who has NOT felt the Rod of the Lord? Yet sadly, as the Creation Groans towards fulfillment (even as our kids grow old and eventually die). We watch from the perspective of HIS-STORY. History is reversed, if you like, from God's perspective. We can NOT escape it. It will happen. We have a hand in it. We can oppose Evil and we should. But finally, when the salt has lost its savor... Ah, then all becomes bland and innocuous and pointless and Godless and it will be, "thrown on the fire".
This is where Father steps in and grabs His kiddos just as they are about to be dashed on the rocks of human folly below, to be lost forever. We know it was human folly that got the Sin-Situation started in the first place. We also know that the Lord God cannot be our 'Father' unless Jesus is our Brother. So those without hope that may be instrumental in leading all of us to that rocky ledge have no Biblical foresight of the potential problems of any action. For us Christians to disseminate about the 'this and that' of secular government WITHOUT ACTION is a wonderfully foolish and wasteful passtime. For us to cower behind the 'beam-me-up-Scotty' mentality of pop-church-rapture is equally worthless. If indeed our President has made an unwitting error with this 'North American Union' thing, then it is good that it be brought to the light for all to see. He is still our President and it is RIGHT to afford him respect. I am from Britain and know, oh so well, what it is like to be drawn into the unholy alliance with European countries. Britain is a very sad and twisted place in many ways, yet there are still many Christains there that have not bowed the knee to Baal. Regrettably, in Europe, it is getting more and more difficult to be Holy, and Separate to the Lord, that's for sure! We in the USA still have a fighting chance to remain FREE. We should be good stewards of that chance, not lose our savor and not go the way of our European cousins who have lost that chance!
