Pastors and Leaders: "Sound the Alarm" (Part I)

"…the sons of Issachar …had understanding of the times" (I Chron 12:32)

How long has it been that I have been sounding the alarm? (Originally this ministry was entitled "Sound the Trumpet Ministries.")  Answer: 16 years!

It all started when I picketed against ABORTION at the U.S. Supreme Court in 1989.  From that vantage point, I began to understand that, unless the bloodletting stopped, our land would be permanently defiled, we would be vomited out, and we would be doomed, somewhat similar to what happened to Israel in 70 a.d. (see Lev 18:24-28).

Since then, nothing has happened to change my mind.  In fact, my prophetic understanding (see Pr 29:18) has intensified because of 9/11 and because we have become so hostile to the Lord (see Lev 26:27) and are coming under the following curse about which we are warned in Deut 28:49:

"The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand."

To bolster my perspectives I want to refer you to two recent columns.  Douglas MacKinnon looks at Islam's goals and foresees more and more "catastrophic and lasting damage" being visited upon "our republic;" that "we are all but doomed to suffer unimagined pain." (see article here)

For this situation MacKinnon blames our "obscenely irresponsible politicians" and US, the voters, for putting them in office. 

Then there is Harry R. Jackson, Jr., who calls for "revival of bedrock Christianity…(which is) our only hope of stopping the advance of violent anti-west radicals."  (see article here)

 How do Christian nations conduct their own jihad? We should draw a line in the sand – defining our unique national cultures while RESISTING the encroachment of unbending, imperialistic Muslims… we must avoid backing down from the intimidation of radical Islamic groups… we must resist!" (emphases mine).

Pastors, Priests and Leaders, we must RESIST! Please explain Islam and its goals to your flock!  Call your church to RESIST, in prayer and action (voting, etc.).

Shepherds, please recognize and accept your God-ordained responsibilities to be "WATCHMEN".  If you do not warn your people, the eventual blood will be on your heads.  Do not look away!  (see Lev 20:5; Ezek 3:16-19; 33:1-9.)

This piece you are reading now is Part I of a two part series.  Part II will offer some concrete suggestions about how to RESIST.  There are some specific things you can (and should) do to open the eyes of your flocks and call them to action. 

Leaders, please do not be deceived! This is not an exaggeration.  Now is the time to act (Mt 16:3)!
