Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave of Colorado Who Introduced the Federal Marriage Amendment Is Now Under Attack

September 12, 2006

Greetings!

As a result of the past two election cycles, we have added some bright pro-family stars to Congress. In fact, because of the diligence of Christian voters, almost two-thirds of the 94 freshmen added to the House of Representatives in the 2002 and 2004 elections were pro-life, pro-faith, and pro-family!

But that majority is in trouble, and I need your help to keep good Christians in public office!

The media tells us so little of our victories, but over the past four years, Congress – for the first time since the legalization of abortion in Roe v. Wade – has passed anti-abortion laws that do more that just restrict funding; they are now restricting the jurisdiction and types of abortions that can be performed.

Additionally, even though marriage has been under attack from judges for almost fifteen years, it has only been in the past four years that Congress has introduced a Federal Marriage Amendment. And Congress has also moved aggressively to protect "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, the right of chaplains to pray with Christian language, and the display of crosses in public areas.

One of the new leaders at the forefront of each of these battles is Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave of Colorado. Elected in 2002, she promptly wrote and introduced the Federal Marriage Amendment (a remarkable achievement for a freshman legislator!), and has defended our Judeo-Christian values in numerous other measures as well.

As you can imagine, Marilyn has become a target of secularists and the Left in this election. They have mobilized nationally, raising vast amounts of money to defeat her. They believe her defeat would greatly slow the pro-family agenda in Congress and also discourage conservative Christians across the nation.

Because Marilyn's opponents have made her reelection a national issue, I am writing to ask you to help Marilyn in her race.

I know Marilyn personally and consider her a very good friend, but you don't have to take my word for her values. Both friends and foes agree: she is strongly pro-family. Pro-family groups rate her very highly (she receives a 100% rating from National Right to Life, Family Research Council, Christian Coalition, etc.), and anti-family groups consider her their enemy (she receives a 0% rating from the pro-homosexual Human Rights Campaign, the pro-abortion groups NARAL and Planned Parenthood, the socialistic Americans for Democratic Action, etc.)

Both sides agree! Marilyn is a champion for the Biblical values you and I share. No wonder liberal groups nationally want to remove her! WE CAN'T LET THAT HAPPEN!

Your contribution of $500, $250, or even $100 will do so much to advance our Godly principles in Washington. But if $500, $250, or $100 is too much, please rush your contribution of $75, $50, $25, or whatever you can afford! (If you want to give more, federal law allows a maximum contribution of $2,100 from each voter in a family.)

Please help make a difference in Marilyn's race, for she is running for all of us!

God bless you, and God bless America!

PS: Remember, the secular liberals are wasting no time funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars against Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave because she is fighting so hard for the Biblical principles you and I embrace. Your rushed contribution of $500, $250, or $100 – or whatever you can send – will help make the difference in the fight to preserve our Godly heritage.
